I think this has been a very cathartic thread for some..am glad to see people posting here freely.

And...I wanted to mention that during my three years of a certain relgious school, I had several instances of getting in trouble for not abiding by the dress code.

we were NOT required to wear uniforms but were expected to dress "acceptably," meaning no sweatpants, no sleeveless shirts, etc. On two different occasions I was reprimanded (and I mean punished) for wearing a cap-sleeved Mickey Mouse tee shirt and culottes, and then for wearing a jumper which had a series of buttons down the front plus a really cute belt that took me too long in the bathroom to reassemble. I got in trouble/scolded for both of those ensembles...I also got in trouble for wearing a flower girl dress I''d worn in my cousin''s wedding which required extra time in the bathroom to button up...I was ALWAYS getting into trouble for fashion! LOL! Next thing I knew, I was modeling flower girl dresses in the cafeteria and loving it...wish I would''ve done pageants. Hee he!

We used to smoke in the bathrooms all the time but occasionally for laughs we would blow the smoke in balloons, then pop them under the stairwells and run...

Weird thing is is that my teachers actually really liked me.

But my kids better not be "lil chits" or they will be in trouble!

I still don''t know how my poor mother survived those years and is able to laugh about it now.

Your balloon stunt is crazy, I''ve never heard of that.

I have to say that I much prefer the "lil chits"--I''ll take a rebel who thinks for herself over an automaton who blindly follows the rules any day.

Oh, they''ll probably have their moments, the big question is whether you ever find out about it or not!

Yeah, I try not to think about what is to come but hope that all my past "experiences" have prepared me for anything!!

And thanks Haven! Many of my not so nice plans were actually very carefully thought out.

I think that baffled many of my teachers. I also would not lie (taking responsibility for one''s self is very important) and they appreciated that.

I didn''t really get in trouble... the only thing I did (read: got caught for) was getting into a whip cream fight with my punker friend. Really the only reason The Dean (dun dun dunnn) spoke to me was because I was in my cheer uniform and "while in this uniform, you are a representative of this school" yadda yadda yadda.

In Algebra, we had a guy named Duc... when the teacher called the role, I would... yeah... duck. We drove that teacher crazy... I don''t even remember much specifically.... mainly it was just talking and laughing because we were not interested in algebra. One day the class made her cry... not sure why... I felt sooooo bad.
15.gif

In I-don''t-even-remember-what class I would torment my stoner friend... remember those Sticky Hand toys? They''re still around... he would come back from lunch a bit high, so I would slap that Sticky Hand on his paper and yank that paper off his desk... as it floated to the floor, his face would turn bright red, he would burst out laughing, and then get in trouble. The teacher just couldn''t understand why he couldn''t control his laughter.

Sticky Hand Karma... in Biology the guy next to me always bugged me... writing me notes, poking my temple and saying Dinnnggg Donnnggg as he did it UGH! Still makes me mad! E.NOUGH with the blonde jokes already (now they don''t really bother me but they do get old lol). So, when my glares were infective, when my he''s-driving-me-crazy-make-him-stop looks to my friend across the class were to no avail, it usually ended up with me yelling, "STOP IT!" I don''t know why the teacher was unsympathetic when I explained "But he''s bugging me!!!!" Maybe because I was always in trouble for talking in every class from K to College.
20.gif
When she told me to stop talking when I was intentionally not paying attention to her I didn''t argue... but come on! that guy annoyed me! lol

One teacher had MISPLACED my work and accused me of not doing it! Ah heck no! That was not happening! She finally relented and passed me but did not give me the A I deserved.

Like some of you... sleeping. The only time I really got called on it was not until an anatomy and physiology class in college. In class the prof told me to wake up... I told her I was listening... she told me I couldn''t have possibly been paying attention... I recited the last several sentences she had said. With that and my A''s, she never interrupted my sleep again. She actually ended up giving me a lot of freedom and extra break time (this was in a Psychiatric Technology program so we were with her for 1 1/2 years!).

I was a goodish girl, had a lot of friends from different cliques, wasn''t into drama, those I didn''t like I just ignored, did my homework, rarely ditched, and pretty much enjoyed hs... not really any trouble at all.
