The Official TTC Thread!

Sure, I can post my chart. Thanks for all the positive thoughts ladies...I''m really trying to not get my hopes up because I''ve learned in the past that AFF can show her ugly face at a moment''s notice.

Anyway, here''s my chart.

LL, Ebree, InLuv and Festy - how are your charts looking?

Blushing, your chart looks really good and I am sooo envious of your well-timed BDing!

LL - way to take one for the team!

I''ll play along and post mine too.

Here ya go...last cycle my LP temps were more erratic, but I was using a regular thermometer. My temp started dropping a couple days before AF showed up...

Thanks Festy - a few mornings my puppy woke me up about an hour before test time so, that''s why I have some open circles. Your chart looks good too!!! Fingers crossed!!!!

Here is a square pendant...

Nice charts Blushing, Festy and LL!

LL-Thanks for testing tomorrow! Maybe that will cure my itch (not likely)

Your jewelry is beautiful! I'm so envious of creative people. There is not one creative bone in my body

I'll play...here's my chart

Festy and BB - Those are some NICE look charts! Yay! I'm hopeful for all of us!!!

ETA InLuv - NICE!!!!

Looking good ladies!! LL - yours looks like you have a nice implantation dip happening on the 6th.

Is Festy testing tomorrow too?

FF calculates our test dates by using info from previous cycles correct?

Why hello fellow TTCers!

Fisher- I'm so sorry for the drop.

Lulu- Gorgeous photos! I have a Canon Rebel as well, and I love it!

LL- Ooooh, I love your jewelry!

LL, Blushing, Festy, InLuv- Beeeautiful charts! How are you feeling?

If I wasn't on progesterone, I'd think I was pregnant for sure. Sore-ish boobs, headaches on and off since OVULATION, feeling sort of 'under the weather.' Unfortunately, these can all be side effects of the supplement. Oh well- nothing like possibly not being pregnant but having symptoms.

A quick, embarrassing question: How do you check your cervix? I'm going to go hide under my bed after I ask this, but: I've been inserting my progesterone vaginally, and I push it up as far as my finger can go (I'm standing up). It just keeps going and going, but at some point, my finger(s) can't. I don't feel anything at the end. Should I be sitting down? Laying down?

As for charts, mine is looking pretty fabulous...

ETA: Can you see my chart? It isn't showing up on Firefox, but I can see it clearly attached in Safari. Hmmm.

I found sitting on the toilet to be the most effective way of checking your cervix. Or lying down. The most important thing is that you always check it in the same position, otherwise you won't have the same starting point with which to assess.

And don't be embarrassed! This is important stuff to know!

Ebree - I can't see your chart. I use Safari and Firefox at home, but have never posted using those programs (I only post at work on my PC), so I can't help you.

As for how I'm feeling, I've noticed a few things - I felt nauseous this morning which never happens to me during the 2ww. I've had light to mild cramping the past couple of days, although I thought I felt some this morning, but I don't anymore. My BBs have been really sore the past couple of days (yesterday was really bad) and just last night I started getting more creamy CM than usual and again today - that could be a sign that AFF is coming (DD might need to chime in here). I don't know what it all means, so I'm just taking it day by day.

DD - I would love to test early, but seeing those negs would really get me down in the dumps. BTW - I agree with LL in the fact that we value your "expert" advice and opinions...I don't know what we'd do without you!

Hey Ebree!

I have no symptoms whatsoever. Maybe that''s good since last cycle I had all kinds of symptoms and a BFN. I''m a few DPO behind the rest of the pack so I know it''s still early for me. Can''t wait to see that chart!

Thank you NF!

Let''s see if this works...

Woo hoo, it worked! Though my joke was ruined. My chart is incredibly boring.

InLuv- anything outside the norm may be a good sign! Fingers crossed for you.

GRRRR! My post just got eaten. It was very well-thought out and brilliant, though. Ok, once more, with feeling:

Fisher- Boo to the temp drop. You are a lady of grace, that''s for sure. Your BFP will come.

Festy, Lulu, Blushing, Lysser, Ebree, InLuv, and anyone else I am missing about to test: Come on, Halloween gang!!!! I''m with Fisher, I think 3 BFP in the next week or so. Come on. ladies, prove us right!

Lysser- I puffy heart your jewelry!

Especially the holey bracelet and ring! So cool and organic. Do you sell your stuff anywhere?

Reading Peony and Fisher''s posts the past day or so got me thinking about patience vs. anxiety. So Question of The Day:

If you KNEW you could get pregnant and it would definitely happen, would you be content and patient if it took 6 months or even a year? Or would you still be anxious or impatient or upset each cycle it didn''t happen?

For example, Peony, based on your posts, would you say you would still be impatient/anxious because of your plans? I am assuming this b/c of your post about med school, but I could be wrong.

As for me, I would be totally fine if it took 6 months, or even a year, if I knew it was just timing and not anything wrong. I am in my 30''s, so I am worried about getting on with it only for that reason. I do really want one, and when I am around them I feel even more ready, but I am also so aware of how our lives will change, that it''s bittersweet. I am really trying to enjoy our freedom (and sleep!) while we still have it. But my BFF was totally different.

Just curious. Clearly, there are no right or wrong answers!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Fisher- I''m sorry about your temp drop and want to chime in and say that your post really touched me. I think this process is teaching all of us patience and I, for one, have found the whole TTC process to be rather humbling.

Peony- How are you doing? DH was VERY nervous while he waited for his test results, it was a huge relief to know that the basic components of baby making are in good working order! My family has a long history of infertility so I feel particularly relieved knowing that my ovarian reserve is in good shape.

lulu- I love your photos...thanks for sharing! It makes me want to get into photography!

InLuv- I hear you on the waiting...good luck! I admire your restraint...waiting all the way to 14dpo!

Blushing- Yay for the temp rise! Fingers crossed that your temps stay up...and you get a BFP on Friday!

LL- Good luck tomorrow! Your MIL sounds like mine, I hope their visit isn''t too rough on you. I love your jewelry, btw. How/where are you selling it?

EBree- I can''t see your chart...but I''m really hoping this is your cycle. Your symptoms sound promising!

chinacat- I completely forgot to answer your question! I use the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor, and chart my CM. I temped for...three or four cycles, two while the CBEFM was getting ''used'' to my cycles. Since, I''ve been using it exclusively.

LittleL: I love all of the pieces that you posted, but my favorite is that gorgeous necklace!! I''d totally buy something like that!

Ebree: My chart looks just as boring, though not quite so far along

China: I think your question is a great one - if I *knew* that I could get pregnant and the only uncertainty was *when*, I would have no problem waiting 6 months or a year. Of course, I would get frustrated it it took an entire year, but it would only be frustration and not *fear*. It''s the fear of not being able to get pregnant that I struggle with . . .

Thanks, Ebree! So the temping helped you understand your cycle, and then you trust the monitor since it correlated before? Is that right?

That''s right. The first cycle I used it, it gave me a peak reading four days after my temp spike on FF (I got pregnant that cycle anyway.) The second time, FF and the CBEFM agreed on my ovulation date, so I felt comfortable just using the CBEFM from then on. It''s been pretty accurate so far!

Me too. I hate fear.

And fear of the unknown is even more frustrating. Thanks.

Hey CC! So funny you posted this...it is exactly what I bring up to DH when I get my period. I would have the patience of a saint if I KNEW it was going to happen in time. All the women in my family (mom, both grandmas, aunts, cousins) have struggled with primary and secondary infertility and that makes me a little nervous. I know I''m young (30) but after doing everything I could for the last couple of cycles I decided to get the Fertell test. DH and I passed and I have to admit that I have been feeling better about the whole TTC process since. I know the test only assesses ovarian reserve and sperm motility but I''m comforted by the fact that those two components are in working order. I truly believe it is just a matter of time for us! I''m also "working on a deadline" with my grant funding so I''m just trying to keep myself in check and not obsess!
