The ring has arrived!

The rock sparkles very nicely! Dont worry - most super ideals look like dark duds under sunlight - the topic had been covered many times over here

This is great information, thank you for letting me know. I havent seen many diamonds in my life, or have I actually really paid much attention until the recent months so this is helpful info.

Thank you again

It's superb, you did great, many congratulations!!!

And that you notice it goes dark in strong sunlight is normal behaviour of a well cut stone, absolutely nothing to worry about. You'll also notice in plain daylight that the stone might just look white, under a tree or with the sun behind you, you'll see all kinds of fire, brilliance and scintillation, you'll have fun exploring the many different characteristics of your stone!

Oh and just in case, if you notice what looks like a crack running along the side of your diamond - fear not - it's not a crack but girdle reflection, again completely normal!

Definitely could not have done it with out your help as well as many others. There is just too much to list but the user names are permanently etched into my mind.

Thank you for the information re the girdle reflection. Me and my fiance to be do not know these things, and this information as well as the characteristics of stones under direct sunlight is something I can share with my fiance to be

You're most welcome, it's our pleasure!

I thought I should just mention about the girdle reflection as it's stumped many new diamond buyers and sent them into a panic once they notice it! You'll see this all the way around the side of the diamond, about half way down and it does look a little like a crack, but it's totally normal.

Beautiful!!! Please ignore what they said about the fluorescence. I really would take anything they say with a grain of salt!

Mind the lighting where you propose to maximize the beauty to take her breath away. I love how my diamond looks at restaurants with many ambient light sources, and also love seeing it while shopping grocery where it scintillates and sparkles with a lot of dispersion. More light sources the better.

This turned out so beautifully! Congratulations on your upcoming engagement! :appl:

Glad to see the final product, looks very elegant and I'm very happy you've found such a beautiful diamond!

Wow, that's STUNNING! I can't wait for the hand shots! :appl:

It's beautiful!! Just wondering, what ring size is it? Can't wait for the hand shots :appl:
