So, TIA for reading this post. It has been quite a busy month for me, since I upgraded to my 2.24 transitional diamond from my 1.43. The upgrade was inspired and made possible by the "one ring to rule them all" philosophy ( I had to sell a lot of my other jewelry that I had bought over the years, impulsively, I might add). Because of the cost of the upgrade, I had settled for the basic settings that my jeweler threw in at no cost...he is so awesome. But, since I was able to pay for my upgrade in one month, I went ahead and invested in the setting, and here it is.

That setting is really gorgeous and blingy, and complements your center stone so well. Congratulations on such a great match!!

Braga, that looks really and truly beautiful!! I love the setting, blingy and yet also delicate and elegant, the ring looks so pretty on your hand - congrats on your upgrade and new setting, you've had a very exciting month! :appl:

Do you think you'll wear a band with it? The setting is certainly substantial enough that you don't need one, I'm just curious!

LLJsmom--thanks!

Junebug--Nope! No band to go with this, and I'm OK with that!

I totally agree with you! It doesn't need a band, looks fab on its own!

Really pretty!

A fabulous ring indeed!!! It's sparkles so beAutifully and it's very elegant.
I totally agree that this ring doesn't need a band at all. The ring is made for you and really showcases the big center stone. What are the specs of the sidestones?

its gorgeous! i can't quite make out what is happening on the sides though? is it 3 baguettes or traps on either side?

its a great setting!

I really like that setting, who made it?

Absolutely gorgeous braga! The setting really compliments your stone!

GORGEOUS!! What a perfect match to your beautiful upgrade diamond!! And I love how the pave just completes it - you don't really need a band to work w that setting, its just 'complete' as it is!! Fabulous choice and I'm glad you had the good fortune to be able to buy it so quickly, too!

It is PERFECT

SOOOO lovely and blingtastic 8-) 8-).

Hippi_Pixi--No, these are not baguettes. I want to say that my jeweler called them old rose cut carre diamonds. I will take close-ups because I am kind of confused by that description.

Thanks to all for your lovely comments.

The setting was designed by Gabe Arik, who has been my jeweler for nearly 5 years. He appeared on The Real Housewives of Orange County and designed Gretchen Rossi's ring. Also, he is Victor Canera's cousin!

It's beautiful!!

How cool that he is Victor's cousin too.

Blingtastic!!!!

WOW what a unique setting, and your OEC looks right at home. Lovely!

Very blingymoe! I really like the side stones!

I love the sidestones! You can see that it's something special. The cut complements your OEC so well.

Beautiful and SOOOO sparkly! Nice work on your upgrade!

Your setting is so unique!

I love it and it looks great on you!

What an amazing setting for your stone. Love it. And super cool that Gabe is Victor's cousin!

I adore it! Love the carre cuts!

Looks perfect on you, and I agree with Junebug that it looks great without a band, too. And neat sidestones! I still can't figure out from the photos what they are, but that adds to their coolness factor ::)

Gorgeous ring! I love the width, a nice departure from the thin shanks seen lately. I'm very intrigued by those side diamonds, maybe frenchie rose cut hybrids? Very cool and beautiful :lickout:
