Gorgeous ring! I love the width, a nice departure from the thin shanks seen lately. I'm very intrigued by those side diamonds, maybe frenchie rose cut hybrids? Very cool and beautiful :lickout:

wide shank explains the title :) but I fell in love with the side stones. for some reason this setting suits my diamond and even though quite wide, its still lets my stone take center stage.

It's GORGEOUS!!!! Seriously looks absolutely perfect together and stunning on you!

It's stunning, congratulations!

It's gorgeous - love the sidestones!

Thanks to all of you for your lovely compliments! I have been wearing it since Sat. night and NO ONE IRL has noticed the change, so it is nice to have fellow diamond lovers!

Very pretty.

I'm quite intrigued by the side stones too! And the gorgeous ring of course. Enjoy your wonderful upgrade!!

Gorgeous!!! I have a new love of wide settings. Maybe it's from years and years of seeing ultra thin settings, but I'm appreciating wider settings these days. My new setting is pretty wide, and I am loooooving it!! Anyway, love your upgrade and the setting!

Thanks! But more imporantly, where can I see a picture of your new setting?

Your ring is beautiful!!!

What a cool design! I love it. Congrats!!

Thanks ladies! I love it too, but for some reason, DSS is setting in sooner than I had anticipated! I don't know if my stone is getting swallowed by this setting...

Stunning! I one of my favorite rings thus far!

Still adore this setting, but your center stone pops in your new solitaire. Just read your story in the solitaire thread. Pleasssssse make a SMTB thread with lots of pics!!

So beautiful! The stones look almost like french cuts, but not quite ... I'd guess maybe something like the ones cut by Bez Ambar?

Beautiful and very unique setting!! That ring has some serious sparkle and great style. It's definitely one of my favorite custom ring designs I've seen on here.

Sidius: Thank you! I plan to go back to it soon!
Circe: I still have no idea what the side stones are, but that is one of the reasons that I kept it the sett;ing, and I plan to go back to it when it can be redone in my size.
Acinom: I am too  to start another thread, so I will just add them on here. It is only a temporary setting, so the picture really focus on the stacking bands. Here you go and thanks for asking!

I love your ring as a solitaire! What do you think about it?

Thanks. Right now, I am really enjoying it and having fun with the stackers and am in no hurry to change it back. I especially love when my teen daughter wears it and I can admire it from afar, it looks so big! I don't know what it is about seeing your ring on another finger, but for sure, it helps to combat DSS!

I really love your sidestone setting but I have to say I love your rock as a solitaire more. It looks huge, my favorite combo is the stack second from the bottom.

The solitaire re-set looks amazing.

Yes, it does look much larger as a solitaire and I agree with you about seeing your ring on someone else's finger. It's a good test to make sure that it's still big! Look at it on your hand in a mirror too - wow!

I think you're almost going to get more votes to keep it solitaire than you are to set it back in your mounting. I really love that mounting too but this look is  !
