The world inside Poppy

I was in our lovely outside tea/lunch area at work today, a tree and ivy covered gazebo sort of set up. Poppy always looks awesome there - lots of filtered sunlight, she just GLOWS. I try to take pictures there, but they never turn out right. This is the best I can do.



Not so great, hey?

But then, I discovered what happens if I try to get ultra, ultra closeups. Instead of being a series of windows on top, she turns into a series of mirrors! All of the trees and sky above me were clear as day, such a cool effect. I tried to tell people at work about it. I got blank looks. I'm sure PSers are a bit more understanding.

At first it looks like a mass of colour but when you look more closely you can see the clear reflection of leaves and sky, particluarly in the last photo. I loved these photos of Poppy enjoying the world and displaying the benefits of keeping a diamond clean!

I think the white swirly bit in the last photo is from the pergola above me, though I couldn't actually find that exact bit when I looked around.
