Here's the link to my original post with the glamour shots and diamond specs!

The earrings arrived in Perth yesterday (Sunday) and my darling husband swung by the Fedex depot to pick them up for me this afternoon. He couldn't understand my excitement and urgency for getting the earrings so I tried to explain "Imagine you had a brand new tractor waiting to be picked up"... This "kind of" helped him understand

I grabbed my camera as soon as he presented me with the box and snapped happily away throughout the "unwrapping" process! It's night-time now so these photos were taken in a dim room with just the flash on my little camera. I'll aim for some sunny shots tomorrow! Shouldn't have much trouble since it's mid to high 30's and SUNNY all the time at the moment in Western Australia!

So without further adieu, the much anticipated photos :)

Ooops should have remembered the photos upload in reverse order... let's see if I can get it right this time!

My engagement ring is approx 0.93tcw. 43 point E, VS2, princess centre with 10 x 5 pointer princess channel set side stones. The diamonds are from "RAND" diamonds who provide "birth certificates" for your diamond which is very cool ;) Also one of the few companies in Oz that provide only well cut diamonds so you don't have to drown yourself in GIA/AGS certificates. My husband picked the ring and I love it very much and am grateful that he paid a premium for cut! Although I'm glad I went the BGD route for these earrings :) I got a quote for a comparison pair from RAND and I was looking at well over twice as much.

Finally I'd like to say how pleased I was to work with BGD. They were a pleasure from beginning to end and made things SOOOOO easy for an international buyer. I'm already planning my next purchase from them.... A DBTY bracelet as a graduation present for my sister! :naughty:

I'll post more ear shots when I get some good light (and if I can rope the hubby into holding the camera!)

Love love love them. They are gorgeous! Congratulations!

Gorgeous, Cartea. I didn't see the link to your original post so I was wondering if those were presets from BGD or did you handpick your stones? Either way, lovely!

Congrats - they look lovely in your ears! :sun:

I love them! A pair just that size is on my wishlist, too! :appl:

:appl: They are gorgeous! :appl:

Can I ask what size each stone is? This is on my list of "wants" from BGD as well!

You got white gloves?!?!? What do you have to do to get white gloves?!

:appl: :appl: yay!!! I think you will really enjoy them :)

They are beautiful and what a nice presentation they came with (all of the packaging, etc.)...they look great on you! Enjoy them!

Wow! Those are gorgeous!   What a nice size too! Enjoy them and share more pics!

Exciting! They look GREAT! And the packing materials etc made me take a trip down memory lane. You'll adore the box as well .... not as much as the BLING though! Congrats!

Here's the link to my original post. Sorry I forgot to include it last time!

Rubyprincess - I "ummm-ed and ahhhh-ed" about whether to go the preset route or pick my own stones. In the end the price was almost identical and the option to upgrade the studs in the future by going with BGD Signature Stones ending up being the final push I needed to pick my own stones. I emailed Lesley to ask about a couple of stones that were snapped up in the pre-Valentine's Day rush and she got back to me immediately to let me know they had a new shipment coming in and she'd pulled a pair that were like cousins to the ones I'd had my eyes on.

Hoofbeats - The stones are 35 points each. I've put the link to my original post at the top and you can look at the stones certificates via it. They are 35 point, J, VS2 Brian Gavin Signature H&A diamonds. I'd have been happy with eyeclean Si1. I was unsure about the J colour but I can't see much of a difference next to my "E" engagement ring. If I was SUPER critical, my engagement ring appears a crisp, "chilly" white whereas next to it, the studs are warmer but I don't see any "yellow." Very happy! Oh and the white gloves are part of the package to allow you to play with the diamonds without making them filthy ;)

Thanks for all the compliments. Can't wait to go to work today and show them off ;) The hospital has big glass windows so lots of light comes in :) Here's hoping I blind my fellow doctors with a few flashes!

Love them!

Gorgeous cartea, congrats! I'm an Aussie too and also have fabulous buying experience with BGD! Your earrings are the perfect size (but the upgradability of them is a nice-to-know ). Enjoy them, they look sensational on you! :appl: :appl: :appl:

Thanks for posting the link that had the links to your stones. I would have thought they were larger based on your ear picture. Or maybe you have small ears?! lol. These are definitely on my wish list, after the bezel band. I'm having a bit of a bezel fetish going on here. :)

I wouldn't have said I have small ears hoofbeats! I always thought I had big ears as a child  But as my grandmother says "You grew into them dear!"

Bezels are definitely my new favourite! I'm lusting over their DBTY bracelet and the bezel band too... I'm planning to get one of them for my sister for her graduation... it's a shame she has such tiny fingers/wrists! Jewellers usually misjudge the size of my fingers/wrists on first glance... . I'm 5'10" and my engagement ring size is 7.75 and I take a 8.25inch bracelet! Thankfully, I'm rather long limbed so my fingers and wrists appear smaller than they really are! Haha

My sister is only a tiny bit shorter but she's so delicately built! She usually wears a 7 inch bracelet (and it's loose) and her ring size is approx 5.5 :P So there'll be no sharing of jewellery ;(

I like!!!

I love the bezeled studs!! It really gives them a nice presence!

So lovely!!
