My 30th birthday is coming up in September and I've been looking at sapphire eternity bands. I prefer thin bands (around 2mm) -- my wedding band is a plain 2mm platinum band and I'm thinking of stacking it with the sapphire eternity.
I'm considering this one, from Blue Nile: http://www.bluenile.com/sapphire-eternity-ring-18k-white-gold_17216
...but I'm curious about how it (or a similar band) would look in real life, stacked with a plain band, etc. If you could share your sapphire eternities, I'd be very grateful!
Also -- would stacking 18k with platinum occasionally (it probably wouldn't be every day) be ok, or would rubbing be a problem?
Thanks for your help!

It is not a good idea to wear gold next to platinum due to the rubbing issue (in this case, WG prongs wearing down) but I think occasional wear might be fine.

It's a very pretty ring, though!

I just received the pink sapphire/rose gold eternity from bluenile for my bday and I have to say it is very pretty. I will be home tonight and will try and attach a photo. I also wear a WG 2mm plain band next to it. Also I feel that the ring runs a tiny bit big. My band is the same size and fits better.

Thank you in advance, hathalove -- I look forward to seeing your pretty ring!

Mine is bezeled, and less than 2mm, but I figured I'd post it anyway.

Not colored stones, but also a pic of my 2.5mm diamond shared prong band paired with my 2mm wedding band and a .6ct tranny in a 1.8mm solitaire.

Thanks, frekechild! Both combinations look really lovely.
