So first let me say thank you to Niel and Gypsy who helped me understand the picking a diamond process!
Next a huge thank you to Liza and Bob at Whiteflash for outstanding customer service!
So stats first to understand what we have
.80 K VS2 ACA from Whiteflash
I think the diamond is gorgeous!! It actually is the best cut of anything I have ever owned. Definitely sparkles and shines so beautifully. I have found that my eyes are sensitive and can detect color or tint, however, I have also found that it really doesn't bother me much. Especially since I was on a budget and cut and size did matter to me a great deal. Is it my forever diamond? No. I want bigger so that is why I picked a place with a great upgrade policy!
There are things that I do not like!! I was shocked to see that the head is crooked. This is suppose to be the Tiffany repo and as it stands it is the Tiffany no no! The whole head sways to one side. They look somewhat even face down however, from the sides some are closer together than others. The valleys (I don't have a tech term) in between the prongs are not even. The donut is not even on both sides and on one side is just barely present. This is the disappointing part. You want your brand new ring that you have been stressing over to show up perfectly set. This looks like a rush job.
So how do I feel about the whole thing. Just OK. I hate having to go through the hassle of sending things back for correction. Now I am not sure if I like this setting or is it that I just don't like the way they executed it? Can they do better? Should I pick something else? I am just mentioning all the things that run through my head. I just feel like they know I am a PSer. How picky we are about symmetry... Blah

There are so many kinds of people in the world and so much variety for the many kinds. I actually think this stone compliments on my hand. Of course I would love it bigger
