First, I have to say that I was completely lost a month ago and reading these forums has been incredibly helpful. I don''t know what I would have done without it!

I think I finally found the stone in the size and quality I want, and was hoping I could get your opinions:

1.74ct, G, VS2

link to diamond - currently on hold

Depth: 61.8%
Table: 56.0%
Crown: 34.9%
Pavillion: 40.8%

HCA: 1.5

Your opinions are much appreciated!

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike and welcome!

Thank you for your very kind words, so glad you find us helpful!

The image looks excellent and the stone itself is of great quality being G VS and a very nice size, it could be a great choice.

nice

Pretty!

Thanks for the responses!

For my one concern - on the AGS report there are notes saying that the VS2 clarity rating is based on clouds not shown on the plot. Also, it says there is surface graining not shown.

Is this an issue? Is there any questions I could ask the vendor to ensure the stone is what I expect? Or does the fact that it is a VS make it unlikely that it will be a problem?

Clouds shouldn''t be an issue in VS clarity, but you can certainly ask to make sure. Same with surface graining.

Nice idealscope image!

VS clouds probably should be safe.
