It looks like abrasions which will probably polish out. Have you had that stone tested?

thank for your reply LD

I did not tested with a major lab , do you suggest me to go for it ?

Are you planning on selling it? If so then yes because I think you need to find out if any treatments have been applied. That way you can make the decision whether to polish it and sell it or leave it as it is and sell it.

thank you again LD

YES I HAVE plane

stone is flewless , without gem report i think it is difficult to sell , sharp rutile needles all over the stone , some of vissible on the table , i think indication of not heated , hope also not treated . i am not a gemologist rather i am a gem lover . this is one of my collection.
PLS ADVISE ME

recut before certification or after ? or just certify and sell it without recut .

If you can see the rutile needles, the stone is not flawless. Visible rutile is not an indication of a sapphire being unheated. It can still be flux treated, glass filled, oiled or more. Without knowing treatment, I would not even suggest polishing lest you remove any surface reaching treatment. If heat only or unheated, all you need is to repolish it.

thank you chrono , you are right it is not flewless rather can say transparent, rutile needles are very fine , as per your suggestion, first i will go for know its nature and its treatment.

IGI dubai ?
GiA dubai ? (just collection centre for new york lab) while the origion of the stone is not declaired either it is burmese or not, GIA dubai can send it to new york?
OR any other lab in dubai ?

GIA is a far better lab than IGI.

The photos are not good enough to be sure but in your second photo it looks like there's a suspicion of a blue flash - although it could be something else BUT if it is, then it could be indicative of filling. In your last photo there are areas that can't be seen clearly but, again, if you're not experienced at looking at inclusions, these need to be checked out. We can only make guesses and not definitive yes/no for you.

You can't price the ruby correctly for selling unless you know whether it's been treated. If it's unheated/untreated the price per carat will be much much higher than if it's filled, dyed, BE diffused. Just bear in mind that very clear rubies (especially if this is a large stone) may be indicative of BE diffusion.

YES this stone size is large .

As it's large and eye clean then I would suspect treatments. Definitely send to a lab because you can't price it correctly otherwise. You don't want to sell a Ruby to find out it's a synthetic or something else horrible do you?

If it comes back as untreated or heated only then the price you could ask would be much much more so its worth doing (and will be a good sales tool for you also).

LD thank you very much for your kind advices .

hope will soon inform you about lab result.

Ruby is one of the most highly treated gem type in the market and no savvy buyer will buy one without a reputable lab report.

That's what I was thinking, too, LD . . .
