Thoughts on this Cushion?

Narrowed down my search for a tiffany novo like ring and decided to go with the Novela from BGD. What are everyone's thoughts on the cushion below?

I'm not sure how great the Aset/Ideal scope images are from what I read online. Will this diamond leak alot of light? Am I better off going for something else at this price? Looking for a cushion around 1.75-2.0 ct.

If your aim is to duplicate the Novo, the BGD Novo-like settings and that diamond is a very good choice, very Novo-like.

So I would see if BGD can get it... and then recommend one? Or have them both shipped to you to see which one you prefer.

I don't like that cushion. I think you can do better. If you want to buy both the diamond and the setting in one place have them source you a better performing stone, they can do it.

If you are open to buy the diamond from a different vendor and have it sent to BGD for the setting (I agree with you that the Novella is just an amazing setting)... then we'd be happy to help you search.

I don't like any of those.

the 2.01 is dark in the center.
And the others from the search... none of them is looking promising as a good performer.

I was talking to BGD (Denise) a few weeks ago and they said they are getting a new shipment of cushions at the beginning of March, so it might be worth contacting them about if you can wait a couple weeks.

I don't like that cushion. I think you can do better. If you want to buy both the diamond and the setting in one place have them source you a better performing stone, they can do it.

If you are open to buy the diamond from a different vendor and have it sent to BGD for the setting (I agree with you that the Novella is just an amazing setting)... then we'd be happy to help you search.

+1. I'm not crazy about the cushion either and think that BGD can source you a better performer. I am crazy about the setting though!
