Thoughts on this diamond

Hello, PriceScope!
I received this loose diamond today and wanted to get some outside opinions on it. I think it looks nice, but it was also triple the cost of similar IGI diamonds I have found and I’m wanting to make sure that I’m getting the appropriate performance improvement over other stones to warrant the cost.

It's quite a nice GCAL 8X graded diamond...your mention about price is a valid one: GCAL 8X diamonds were priced attractively somewhere between IGI and GIA a few years ago but now seems to hold the high price crown, in my opinion.
Whether it's worth it or not is entirely subjective, so it's up to you.
We can certainly find you some wonderful options to look at so that you have a basis of comparison: for example, this one is under $340:

@DejaWiz Thanks for this! I have compared it to a few other diamonds I have (been trying to find the perfect one!) and while I notice a slight performance improvement, it certainly doesn’t look like a 3x improvement to justify 3x the cost.

I am open to any recommendations you can find. My current front runner is a 1.4ct with a 35.5° CA and 40.7° PA because I love the extra fire it has. I just which it had slightly more scintillation. Not sure if it is a proportions issue or a cut issue, but I am a newbie and would love advice!

Got a min-max carat range and budget cap in mind?

Thinking somewhere between 1-1.5ct and hoping to stay between $300-$400 but flexible for the right diamond!

I'm seeing LOTS of extremely well cut and proportioned diamonds in that price range.
By the way, nice profile picture...The Sword In the Stone is one of my favorite movies of all time!
I'll probably be posting a list for you tomorrow when I see a post from you confirming that you're on the forum.
