Just putting out feelers here for my .91ctw, size 7.5, bar set Tiffany 7 stone ring. It's going on the market but I wanted to list it here first.

I've found it for sale at $3800 preowned, and it was (as I recall) around 7-8k new.

I don't have the paperwork (I did, but I've lost it in my move from East to West coast), but it's stamped with the Tiffany stamp, and I took it to Tiffany for them to authenticate and resize (which they'll only do with their own pieces).

I've attached a photo of it with my 2.15ct solitaire (which obviously is not part of the sale); the stones are clean, very white, and well cut.

I'm looking for $2500 for it. If anyone expresses any interest on it here, I'll throw a post up on LoupeTroop and DB.

That ring is super-cute! Good luck with the sale of your piece.

Do you know whether this ring can be re-sized to 5.75?

Thank you

Hi Dizzie -

I'm sure it can be - there's no pave and the shank is solid. And it was a size 6 when I bought it - so 5.75 would be to return it to close its original size.

I've decided to put this up on Loupe Troop. If I get no response there, it'll be going on to ebay.

Am selling because I recently had a new 7 stone ring made - in platinum.

I've never seen this being sold at Tiffany before.

And just because I'm not really fond of nkc's random comment - here's the one listing I've found at the moment online for this specific ring, tho they do come up regularly on ebay. My purchase of this ring, tho, is well documented on PS.

nkc - btw - I saw the thread you started 2 months ago asking how to authenticate a Tiffany piece. You were given some good advice there. However, if you want some more, you'll find my comments on authenticating Tiffany trademarks if you scroll back through my posts.

I just haven't seen it at Tiffany before... I don't know why this bothers you!

Probably because it implies you think her ring is not genuine - which if you knew anything about mrs b and her (amazing) collection, you would know is absurd. It was rude and unhelpful and of course she would be bothered by that.

That pretty much sums it up. Thanks liaerfbv.

And just to put this sale back on track - this is a beautiful ring, with a lovely, classic design. I wanted this specific design for years before I was lucky enough to buy it. Tiffany's version of a bar set ring is streets ahead of virtually all others I've seen due to the doming of the bars and their shorter length, both of which decreases markedly the amount of metal in the ring. This means they don't obscure or overpower the diamonds, while still giving full side-to-side coverage.

A lovely wedding ring if you have a substantial solitaire, or a beautiful right hand or stand alone ring. As is obvious in my photos, I wore it often with just my wedding ring and I think the combo was very elegant.

Wow! What a steal!!! Wishing you a quick sale.

Thanks, P-b. :) When I sell things - which is every so often - I try to pitch things at about 40% their original price, so long as their condition is excellent. Altho I have to say - I once sold a diamond bracelet for 10% what I bought it for! I had LONG outgrown it, and just wanted it 'outta here!' I also have sales on occasion to raise money for dog rescue. My prices then are super low in an effort to get quick turn around for whatever the specific situation is (dog in need of significant medical treatment, that kind of thing). It's a good way to clean out the less expensive things bought on a whim that seem to accumulate in all our jewelry boxes! This is a more significant piece tho, so I'm using the 'roughly 40%' rule.

And thanks for your kind wishes!

What a pretty piece. Would it size to 5?
Mrs b do share your listing (and eBay if it's allowed) you got so many wonderful pieces I'm going to stalk you. Hahaa.
I am stretched on budget this round. But will keep a lookout for your other pieces

Not necessarily... It simply means I haven't seen it at Tiffany before! Are you a mind reader? ;)

David Klass just polished the ring for me so it looks like new, so here are a few new shots.

Will you consider sending this to NZ? What's the size and grades of the diamonds?

Hi hifihua -

The ctw is .91, there's 7 stones, so each is 13 pts. The stones are listed by Tiffany as F VS1.

I'm willing to ship to NZ provided the buyer takes all responsibility. I'm happy to use whatever method they choose, but this, as with all shipping to any destination - US or otherwise - would be at their expense.

Here's a video David Klass Jewelry did for me:

It's a gorgeous ring, mrs-b! :appl: For the live of me, I can't imagine why Tiffany discontinued it; think it's one of their best settings in recent memory, particularly for the reasons you've given:

I love yellow gold, aaaand my ring size is 6.75, but alas, a jewelry splurge on myself isn't in the cards right now.

Whoever buys it will doubtlessly thrilled that you made it possible for them to slip it on their (or their SO's) finger -- best wishes to you and to them for a quick sale!

Thanks, Molly!

Dropping the price 10% to $2250. Doing this for a few days. If no response at that point, I'll be removing the ring from sale.

Well, I can't help but think somebody missed a great deal on this one - I've withdrawn this from sale.

I agree! I was just thinking of how I could raise some funds!!!!

Agree too. Just that I had max out my funds. And I have a tiffany wedding band in yellow gold. So that would have been perfect

GearGirly and kalmen -

Thanks for those nice comments. :) As it turns out, I'm planning to pull it apart - which seems like an insane thing to do to a Tiffany ring. But I can't be bothered doing the whole ebay thing, and I'll have ways I can use both the stones and the metal anyway.

I hope you both find the rings you want when the time is right. :wavey:
