Tiffany 18kt yellow gold 7 stone ring.

Have you considered consigning with therealreal.com? It's pretty easy and at least you'll get something for it

Hi Tophat :)

I've decided to keep it and re-purpose it. Since it was $7100 to buy, and I've had it listed for $2250, and it's a really nice piece, I'm just not prepared to sell it for less than that, and I do have some projects where I can repurpose it. At least I'll feel as tho I got more use out of it. And since my husband bought it for me, I won't feel as though I'm giving it away. I was sort of on the fence with selling it anyway - I make a habit of NOT selling anything he buys me - so this was anomalous for me. So somewhere in my mind I'm going 'phew!' now that I've decided to keep it with me - although in its various parts.

I'm glad it'll still stay with you.. in various parts. Although I did do a silent nooooo when I read you were going to tear it apart

That actually DID make me laugh out loud, kalmen! I could see you looking at your computer and going ".............!!" (because it was silent, y'know!)

:D

It's a beautiful ring. Glad you can keep it. :)

Thanks mochiko :)

GearGirly and kalmen -

Thanks for those nice comments. :) As it turns out, I'm planning to pull it apart - which seems like an insane thing to do to a Tiffany ring. But I can't be bothered doing the whole ebay thing, and I'll have ways I can use both the stones and the metal anyway.

I hope you both find the rings you want when the time is right. :wavey:
Sorry to hear that there were no takers and the ring will be dismantled!

Well, I did end up getting one offer, but it was just over 20% of what I paid for the ring, and the ring is still in pristine condition, so I declined.

I hear ya! I'm a T&Co lover & collector and I know how frustrating it can be when you see pieces listed and you go to sell and recieve paltry offers! I've been through the process time and time again so I feel ya!

mrs-b, did you end up taking this apart? I'm looking around for something very similar... :)

@marymm - I did. I'm using the stones in a different project and the gold was melted down. No interest in it at the time and I don't ever want to go the ebay route - so it got repurposed.

^ gotcha, thx for the update, and glad to know you were able to repurpose it!

Sigh, it’s so beautiful and soooo cheap but I’m a white gold / platinum gal.
I’ll have to bide my time and wait for your “new 7 stone in platinum” to become “old” :wavey:
