Tiffany Cable Chain?

Does anyone have the basic cable chain from Tiffany? I have been wanting a long cable chain for pendants and Tiffany sells their 18k white gold cable chain in 24" for $250.

They don't list the weight or mm of the chain so I was wondering if anyone has it. I don't mind if it's a delicate chain, just curious about it.

Also, this seems like a good price to me when I look at what sites charge for chains, thoughts?

It's .9, if anybody was wondering - not that Tiffany's would commit to that. Not over e-mail, not over the phone, and not in person. In person, the saleslady said (and I quote) - "Here at Tiffany's, we don't subscribe to gauge measurements."

Riiiiiiiiiiight. How ... bold ... of you.

If that was a cover for personal ignorance, it's lamentable: if it's company policy, it's a bit skeezy, as the only justification I can think of is of not wanting to commit to a weight/price ratio if they decide to adjust their prices.

So, yeah. Thanked her politely, wandered down to the jewelry district, and bought myself 36" at 1.3 mm for half the price. And got a jump ring installed while talking to the nice man at the bench about his former career as a concert pianist, and his current hobby of playing big-band jazz, while looking at pics of his cute grandchildren. Overall, a hugely superior experience

Good for you Circe! I'm sure the SA at Tiffany's knew nothing of what happened once you left their store, but it feels like you just gave her a big flip of the bird... and I'm glad for that!!! Such haughtiness by some of their SA's... its nuts! Yet, I know a great girl at one of the LV stores and she is so down to earth/practical, that I love spending time with her!

I bought it. I went to the local store and they didn't have the size I wanted but they overnighted it to me for free from another store. I love it. It's long enough that I can actually see and play with my pendants which is what I like to do. I would like to put in a jump ring at 22" but for that I'll just take it to someone local.

Enerchi - eh, it was nothing personal, since I do figure she was toeing the company line. It's just that the line leaves a bad taste in my mouth! Whereas gabbing with Steve left me with a little smile for the rest of the day - a charmer, that one.

But, that said, congrats to you, Asscherhalo_Lover - the chain is indeed lovely! I was looking for something thicker since the impetus for my purchase was a pair of grabby little hands that kept trying to yank mommy's necklace off, but the Tiff's version is delicate and nicely made. Funny how we both went for the loooooooooooong chains but want the versatility of the jump rings anyway! Great minds.
