After he neglected to get me anything for either my birthday or for Christmas , I "convinced" my DH to buy me something from Tiffany's for Valentine's Day. We're "old marrieds". Frankly, nothing for my birthday nor for Christmas has still been a bit much and really hurt my feelings. His logic is that he didn't know what to buy; plus, I have the money to buy whatever I want for myself. He's a good guy, but special occasion gifting (after the first 15 years of marriage) just doesn't seem to be his thing. Being a woman, I have different feelings on the matter. BTW, he also missed our 2024 anniversary. That gift was supposed to have been a Tiffany channel set half diamond eternity band, but it was out of stock at the time. After that, it just got forgotten. It was supposed to be his gift to me, not my gift to myself. I also later decided I'd really prefer a custom 3/4 diamond eternity band, rather than the Tiffany half band. I can't wear a full eternity, and I like more than just a half diamonds band. Maybe next anniversary...

Anyhow, I'm now getting a trip to Tiffancy's out of the most recent situation of all the forgotten 2024 occasions... We're now in 2025, and I decided not to let Valentine's Day go. I want jewelry and I want him to buy it for me. I'm looking at the Tiffany T-1 ring with diamonds both sides. I haven't yet seen it in person, so I don't know if I'll prefer the wide or narrow. Probably the narrow because it would be easier to wear on an everyday basis. I also like rose gold.

Now, my question. What about the t-wire ring? The open one with the diamonds. Would this make a good pinkie ring to wear next to the T-1 on my RH ring finger? Too much? Hubby owes me a birthday, an anniversary, and a Christmas gift. I could go to Tiffany by myself, but he's going with me. We have an appointment. When he said I could go by myself, I told him to make the appointment for "us". Although I could buy myself another ring, I want him involved. This time, he's buying whatever ring(s) I decide on. I don't care how long we've been married; I want the romance back in our marriage.

Does anyone here have experience with Tiffany's t-series. We used to live in NYC, so the t-series kind of says epic Tiffany to me. If I'm going to buy Tiffany, I want it recognizable as Tiffany. Normally, I'm not into brand name things, but in this case, I want Tiffany that looks Tiffany. Maybe I've been watching too many old movies on TMC. In their catalog, I also like the Tiffancy vine bypass ring. But that doesn't seem too practical for everyday wear. I also enjoy wearing pinkie rings with and without a ring finger ring. So, that why I'm thinking maybe the T1 narrow for the ring figure and the T-wire with the diamonds on the upright on each side of the open center for a pinkie ring. But are they too similar?

Discussion and opinions appreciated.

I haven't had a new piece of jewelry in almost 3 years. To top off everything, the local jeweler destroyed (an understatement) my 5 stone ring that originally brought me to the Price Scope group. Painful experience. Even if the diamonds are salvageable (yet to be determined), the mangled 5 stone ring will have to be totally remade from scratch. The platinum and 18K yellow gold are totally mangled beyond recognition, and the stones were returned loose and rubbing against each other. I have photos for another thread at another time. The same jeweler also damaged my original wedding set. So, I have been unable to wear my wedding set after he did what he did. But that has nothing to do with my question about getting both the T-1 and maybe the T-wire for adjacent fingers. Not unless, "damaged jewelry stress" is pushing me to consider the T-wire for my pinkie in addition to the T-1 for my RH ring finger.

Any advice about Tiffany would be appreciated and especially the t-series. As I said, I normally don't go for designer brands just because they are designer brands. But right now, Tiffany is an itch I feel that I need to scratch. The T-wire looks like it would make a nice pinkie ring, but I want (at this point) the T-1 for my ring finger. Getting a ring finger ring is more important than a pinkie ring, but a pinkie ring, too, would be nice.

Sorry if this has been too wordy. But as jewelry lovers, you might understand. I do need some advice.

not commenting on your options but on lack of 'gifts'. My husband 'I never know what to get you' (and my birthday and our anniversary were on the same date!!).

My solution: go find exactly what I wanted, get detailed info on item, where to purchase; give all that info to husband and state 'this is what I want for xxday. that worked very, very well.

I've actually tried that, but he then ends up saying that he lost the info I gave him or else forgot. If I "remind him" before the special occasion to make sure he hasn't lost or forgotten the info I gave him, it feels like nagging to me. In that case, it becomes easier (and less stress) to just buy what I want for myself. However then, it's not at all "from him".

Wow, your birthday and anniversary both being on the same date is definitely a biggie for a husband to "remember". Or not remember. Men can be strange critters at times. Even the best of them.

I appreciate your advice. Wish it worked better with my DH. My getting "him" to make the appointment with Tiffany's (after I gave him detailed instructions) and go with me is almost as big a deal as getting a new piece of jewelry.

relating to the 'DH gift problem' here! Worst gift giver ever! He rarely remember anything I said I like, and often gift me something he like lol.
I ask him just to drag me to the store and give me the budget, then I'll choose for myself. After 5 years repeating myself, this year on our 12th anniv he finally do that!!

The T wire has been on my list for some time now, but still can't justified the price *sigh*. Since it's your bday/anniv/xmas present, I'll 'advice'-lol you to get the T wire ring for the pinky, and the T1 (love the shape more than the narrow) for your index finger. And if you like me, alternate between left index finger with the right middle finger.

Have fun looking!

I have no experience with Tiffany but I will say that I find wearing a ring on my ring finger and my pinky uncomfortable. Do you
have any rings you can wear like this as a test to make sure it's comfortable for you? What about the T wire for your pointer
finger? I would find this more comfortable since the rings are not right next to each other.

I do like the narrow T-1 better than the thicker.

Are there any other Tiffany items you might enjoy...the T-wire bracelet perhaps???

Keep after your husband about the gifting thing. I've been married longer than you, and it seems that if we don't, they stop bothering. Hope you finally got something really nice on your 12th anniversary.

I had a lot of fun during our appointment at Tiffany's today. While the sales rep kept showing me different rings, my husband was busy scrolling on his Cell Phone. But when really pressed for his attention, he did finally say which rings he liked best. And then, went back to his Cell Phone. LOL. The Apple Store was just across the street. Bet he would have felt more at home there than looking a jewelry. Men!!! But he was there with me, and I felt he showed enough interest under the circumstances. That's all I wanted. He's really not into jewelry at all and doesn't even wear his wedding band anymore.

Electronics are "practical". We went through a period in our marriage when he didn't forget special occasions. But the gifts during that phase were always electronics of some sort. Extra jewelry (beyond a wedding set) makes no sense to him. Most of my jewelry I have bought for myself. Had he bought me anything (even inexpensive) for either my birthday or for Christmas, I probably wouldn't have even considered this piece of jewelry. But after the promise of the platinum channel set Tiffany anniversary band turned out to be no 2024 anniversary gift at all nor even an anniversary card. And then no 2024 birthday nor 2024 Christmas gifts at all and also no cards, I was feeling very neglected. And now, here we are. I think his remembering even just a small Christmas present would have kept us out of the Tiffany store because I wouldn't have felt so neglected and thus insisted that he somehow redeem himself. With gifts, it's really the thought that counts and not the price tag.

Now that he went to the Tiffany store together and I brought home a little blue bag, he seems delighted that I'm happy with my new ring. And I'm happy because I didn't buy it for myself. Although I pretty much knew what I wanted, we got this ring together. So, it is his gift to me, even if he neglected to think of it.

The T-wire is really, really nice. I don't know if it's "worth" the money or not. With well-made jewelry, that can be subjective. Eggs we need. Jewelry (especially brand name) is a luxury, so the value lies in what it is worth to us emotionally. I got the T-wire today in rose gold as a pinkie ring. Now, we'll see how the workmanship holds up under the test of time. If the melee diamonds stay in place over time, I would say this ring is worth the splurge. It is more substantial than I was expecting with the term "wire" in the description. But it's still a tiny ring with not a lot of diamonds. But the diamonds do give off a lot of flash. I won't say they are any more sparkly than the custom pieces I've had David Klass do. The two DK band rings I was wearing today sparkled just as much in the same lighting. And I know the exact quality of those diamonds: VVS D in one ring and VS1 D in the other. With the Tiffany ring, the diamonds are VS, but color can vary from D to G. I don't know if that makes any difference in diamonds so small.

All, I can say is that the T-wire is a very pretty, little ring that definitely says "Tiffany". I will be very happy wearing my DK diamond bands on my ring finger next to the new Tiffany T-wire on my pinkie. They look like they belong together. However, the T-wire is very understated. It's a cute side kick.

I also found this pretty ring: https://www.tiffany.com/jewelry/rings/tiffany-victoria-diamond-vine-ring-in-platinum-GRP11221/ that would also be a great pinkie ring. Or a ring finger ring. The Tiffancy rep added it to my profile for the future. Not that it will still be available in the future, nor will my husband remember to think of it. That's a future concern and not something to worry about now.

I really wanted the T-wire for my pinkie in rose gold. It's just so Tiffany. So, that is what I came home with today. If you have your heart set on the T-wire, I would say hold on and try to make your dream come true. In that sense, it is worth the price. Special pieces of jewelry make us happy. And happiness means a lot. Have you seen it in person yet?

BTW, the T-1 Narrow and the T-1 Wide can be sized. The T-wire can't. You have to take their standard sizes. I got mine a little loose because one half size down was too tight and not comfortable. However, I prefer my rings don't slip off as easily as the size I had to get. I worry about washing my hands or very cold weather. But it doesn't spin. It's so comfortable that I forgot I had it on when the sales rep kept gathering together all the rings she was showing me every time she had to leave the room to get another ring. LOL.

Worn alone as a pinkie ring, it pops with what some call understated elegance." I like it with either a band on the finger next to it or alone. The look is different each way but still quite pretty both ways.

Congratulations on getting the ring your heart wanted. As a well known Tiffany Ho around here, I really appreciate it when somebody sets their sights on a piece & then makes it happen.

Looking forward to seeing pictures in the Tiffany thread with ALL the ring options!

I actually like wearing a pinkie ring next to a ring on my ring finger. I have 3 pinkie rings that I often wear on my right hand with ring finger rings. Because my hand is tapered, a pinkie ring sits lower on my hand and doesn't touch the ring finger ring. So, there is no problem with diamonds rubbing nor feeling the rings together.

I have 4 different gemstone (one jade) rings specifically purchased for my pointer and middle fingers, but I just have never enjoyed my wearing rings on those fingers. Those rings unfortunately now just sit in my jewelry box. The look is pretty, but I don't find it comfortable for me. I have no idea of why. Because the t-wire is so petite, I feel it's perfect for a pinkie ring.

I agree with you about the t-1 narrow being "prettier" (at least to my eye) than the more substantial t-1 wide. So did my husband. And he said his opinion was not just the price. Guess that means something coming from a man. He said that I could get whichever one that I preferred. He just liked the look of the more delicate T-1 Narrow on my hand.

Although they didn't have the T-1 narrow in my size in rose gold, I was able to special order it for my ring finger. Now, the wait. I did get to try a white gold one on in my size. But I wanted rose gold. The diamonds pop more in the rose gold and I just like the soft, warm metal color. Because I'm a very fair skinned blonde, yellow gold would stand out more. But I'm in love with my DK roses and diamonds, rose gold band. There is just something about rose gold. Plus, rose gold in a Tiffany ring just said Tiffany more to me.

My husband's missing both Christmas and my birthday got me two rings from Tiffany's yesterday. LOL. I got to wear the T-wire out of the store, and the rose gold T-1 Narrow should get to me about Valentine's Day. I was afraid that two rings from the same t-series in the same metal would be too matchy and end up looking bland together, but the styles of the t-1 and the t-wire are different and complement each other. Having them next to each other is anything but bland. Plus, each one can be worn alone. These new rings won't end up sitting abandoned in a jewelry box. I can see wearing them a lot.

Yes, I did look at the t-bangle https://www.tiffany.com/jewelry/bracelets/tiffany-t-t1-narrow-pav-diamond-hinged-bangle-GRP12620/ and I absolutely loved it. But it's out of my price range right now. Plus, I have so many gold bracelets already that I don't wear. Plus, a couple of tennis bracelets. That's another big reason that I just drooled and don't even put the t-bangle with diamonds on my someday "wish" list.

I used to always have a gold or diamond bracelet on my wrist, even at home. And I would bracelet stack when I went out. But for some reason, I stopped wearing bracelets when the pandemic hit. Right now, rings and one necklace are all I currently will wear. I haven't even been changing out my diamond everyday necklace lately. I used to. That seems to make me a ring only girl now. Thus, I really can't justify the t-bangle just because it's so pretty and was comfortable. Maybe if I still was wearing my other bracelets on a regular basis, I'd think more about it. The bracelet was beautiful and very well made.

They also had some really nice necklaces that made me drool.

There were so many beautiful things at the Tiffany store that I'd love to have. But we don't have a bottomless pocketbook. That means I have to be a reasonably practical about anything I might buy. It can't just be worn once or twice and then end up sitting in a jewelry box. I have learned to now restrict myself to only new jewelry I will continue to wear on a regular basis.

Meanwhile, buying the T-1 Narrow for my ring finger has successfully scratched the itch I've had for having something iconic from Tiffany. The t-wire has been a bonus. It can be worn next to so many other of my ring finger rings, not just the t-1 narrow.

Gee, I like this group and being able to talk jewelry without either boring the listener nor their getting the feeling that I'm bragging. To me, getting these two Tiffany rings has been a really big deal. I also enjoy reading about others adventures in jewelry.

Thanks for the Congrats!!!

I'm a happy camper. I took tons of photos with my cell phone yesterday, but the ring ones I took seem to be all be blurry. I don't know if it was the lighting or how my phone does close ups. That is disappointing. I'll go through the photos again to see if I have anything at all I can post of all the T-rings together. It was fun to see them all together and be able to try on the different ones.

I'm soo happy you got the ring you love!! Wear it in good health!
Thanks for reminding me to keep nagging. I'll do till someday a Tiffany will be worth it lol
Also, waiting for many pics!

Here is one halfway decent (but not very good) photo of the Tiffany rings that I looked at. The T1 Wide and the T-wire I got are in the middle. At first look, the T-1 Wide is more impressive because it's larger. But the T1 narrow looked better on my hand and was more comfortable. Wish more of my Cell Phone photos had turned out. Still, buying new from the Tiffancy store was a memorable experience. No champagne and chocolate covered strawberries like one high end Tulsa jeweler I know, but excellent service. And it was Tiffany's.

True or not, I just read that over 30% of jewelry owners have at least one piece of Tiffany's jewelry. With all the jewelry I've gotten over the years, I wonder why I never added something from Tiffany's before. They have such nice jewelry. Tif-T+20250204_165235-800.jpg

One final photo I accidently found today. Although the Tiffany model has the rings on her middle and index fingers, this is the exact combo that I was thinking about when I started this thread. Now, I really feel good about my deciding these rings will pair well together. Tiffanys obviously does, too!!! Of course, I'll be wearing mine on the ring and pinkie fingers. Still, the general look will be the same.

I've been wearing the T-wire ever since I got it last week. I love it! It's so comfortable with the right hint of sparkle. Tomorrow, I'll be receiving the T-1 to go with it. It's funny how I looked and looked at Tiffany's and at these specific rings, but I never saw this photo of them being worn together before.

Hope this thread now helps someone else in the future. Tiffany T-rings.jpg

my pinky ring sits down below my ring finger rings, i wear my great grandma's wedding ring as a pinky with a small diamond solitair i brought to hold the other one on for safety
perhaps it depends on the shape of one's hand ?

Congrats on your lovely rings. Love the combination. My DH was always a great gift giver but as the years passed (40) he was reluctant to select things for me. Maybe I’ve become a bit more particular also. Anyway now we have “shopping days” for celebrations. I select where I want to shop and we make a day of it. Nice meal and lots of attention. It’s perfect and the gift is always special because the memories are also made. Even if we come home empty handed it is still great fun. He literally hates shopping but makes such a nice effort on these trips. Takes away the pressure of gift giving. I can see how you felt neglected. So glad you were able to articulate your needs to him. So many wives/husbands expect spouses to read their minds but that is a poor method of communication. Marriage is such a dance of compromise.

P.S. He did take me to Tiffany’s for my 40th anniversary! Didn’t bring anything home but it was great fun.
