VL, any progress pictures?

Ah pregcurious, thank you for your interest. I wish I had had the time to work on this one. Life just keeps throwing crazy curve balls. I'm surprised that I get done the little I do. Also since I began pondering this project I have bought more cc garnets, so I may have to start with a new idea for them. I really liked the prospect of raising these egg ish forms, though Im not sure how I might manage that on this small scale. (raising is a technique in hammering silver up from a sheet into a complex volume).

Hey Vapid Lapid, those garnets are gorgeous - cannot wait to see the end result! Just wanted to say don't give up hope on the idea of moonstone melee, I got some beautiful moonstone melee in various teensy sizes both faceted and cabochon from Julia at http://www.joopygems.com/ who had great customer service.
