I was looking at these for the second hole in my ear. I know these aren’t top quality or certed, but are they a good price for what I would get? I mostly own CS not diamonds and don’tknow much about diamonds, but, I have been wanting something small and durable and classic for my second piercing without spending an arm and a leg. They are around $40 and described as si1, g-j, 3mm.

I suspect they aren't real. 3mm is about 10 points and 2 - 10 pointers, even of poor quality, will cost more than $40.

They are so cute!! I like that look too. But just be careful, I've heard of these actually sinking into the ear, since they are so tiny. I wouldnt sleep or even nap in them.
They are probably not the most durable, but it would be a good way to try them out at least, and see if you'd like to invest in a better made pair in the future.
Are they 14k?

They are silver. They are on sale. Original price about $50.00. Any thoughts on that re: price vs realness? That was what i wondered as well; however the shop gets 5 stars.

Edit: I have a pair of 3 mm blue spinels for my second piercing so I know how the size looks and feels, it is perfect for what I am looking for.

Is it for the pair or individually? $50 for the pair is $250 a carat. That seems suspiciously low. I would expect to pay at least $500 per carat for 10 pointers that were SI1 and J. That's without the setting (silver wouldn't be much)

If it is per earring $50 is more in the range of what i would expect.

I believe it is for the pair, but, I can ask. I am not sure.

I just looked over the listing more carefully and she says all stones are certed and that you can ask for the cert. i will do so.

In the listing they are described as .06 ct. thoughts on that? I wnder if 3mm includes the setting.

6 pointers should be closer to 2.5mm.

At the end of the day, it isn't a big investment. $40 for something sparkley seems fair.

Yes, but I still want to be getting a good value. :). For example if they are highly treated or not real...i will pass.

Can you return them if you dont like them? Even if no, $40 ia pretty low risk, I'd give them a shot.

Yes you can. I messaged her about treatment and cert. she also says theu are conflict free which makes me wonder again about the price.

IF they are real, I suspect they are very low quality sorry.
Maybe try ebay? I got my daughter some preowned .25 ctw earrings, set in platinum, for $250. They are really nice!! I'm sure you could find some for less...

So, I know it is more than you want, but i think you could get something very nice for about $200.
Stuller has some 3mm 14k settings for $15 each. Backing is an additional $8.
2 x 10 pointers at K Rosengart (SI1 and I-J) are $120. Add about $50 to get 2 stones set at a bench (I'm basing that cost on my local bench who has set many stones for me)
You would have something very nice for a very reasonable amount.

Thank you! Yeah I am probably passing on these. What’s K Rosngart?

She's a diamond melee seller, based in NYC. I've used her a few times and really like her. Her prices are available on her site unlike many melee sellers.

No Costco membership. :(

What about the small premade studs from James Allen or Blue Nile? I actually would prefer diamonds in the K-Z range but can’t find premade studs with that. Any ideas?

I'd contact ID Jewelry & ask them about making you a set of baby studs, prong or bezel.

Stuller 3mm earring section.. For style ideas.

And yet, in all that, these weren't in the bunch..

I can’t speak to James Allen studs but I bought lab diamond tennis bracelet from them and I love it. If you are not in a rush, I would wait for JamesAllen sale which usually takes 20-25% off everything except loose diamond.

@kitten24 I don’t know if you are still in the market but Jamesallen I is having their 25% sale. You can get your stud there.
