My dh's wedding band is Titanium, five years on it has developed a patina but no obvious scratches and looks great - he is very happy with it. I am happy to take a macro photo if you would like?
My husband wanted a Boccia titanium ring at our 20th anniversary - now we are approaching 27 and it is has a very nice patina on it. IT is light as air and he loves it - and he did not baby it at all.
I got my husband a mokume inlay Boone ring and it has held up alright. He never wears it really, though I have no idea where it is now. That's why I don't clean. I lose things.
Anyway...it's got like NO scratches on it. My BIL has a titanium one too, I thikn also from Boone and he wears his constantly, and it looks like new even 2 years later.
I am game to see any and all pictures. It allows us to make a better informed choice. a SK cobalt is now also in consideration is why we want to see various Ti rings
From the few titanium things I've owned - glasses in the past to bike parts, they take a great deal of abuse and are extremely light. So in a ring the qualities should be the same. Scratch resistance is awesome. Colour of the metal is just about the only thing that detracts from its use as jelwery. But you know how tastes change.
P.S. what is up with all the black jewelry these days???
My husband is hard on things so he wanted a titanium WB and for him it has worked well. something to watch for though is that is makes marks on things - like white plates, a porcelain sink etc. These marks don't seem to come off either.
My husband has a Ti ring from Avant Garde. He has a work ring and a fancy ring. The titanium has held up very well. He is an electrician and works with his hands a lot. They come home cut up and dirty and I think his ring looks exactly the same. It was about $100 so I wasn't worried about it getting messed up, but it hasn't anyway.
Taken with dinosaur iphone, but you can tell pretty much how it looks
