today''s Q...why are there so many lurkers on PS?

I found this place on accident whilst googling a man made stone that starts w/M that shall remain nameless cuz it''s not allowed. I peeked around and looked at pictures, followed links..and then stumbled into the colored gemstone area and now I''m hooked. I lurked for a couple weeks I think, before finally jumping in.

But I''d guess others are probably concerned about exposing info on the internet or think its "weird" to have a forum like this.

I lurked for 3 months. Had never been part of a forum. PS intrigued me. I was sucked in. Then it came time when I wanted to say something. I doubt anyone took me seriosuly. I just jumped right in. But was met with kindness so here I am today...
