I was trying to keep it to myself until I got the setting but I'm just too freaking excited.

Anyone who frequents CS likely knows about my never ending quest for the perfect brown/pink zircon since I cant afford my dream brown/pink diamond.

I recently got an oval zircon I loved, but I realized what I *really* wanted was a round so I could make my own version of the ring that brought me to PS in the first place (pic below).

I had mostly given up when one of the aussie gem cutters I follow posted this stone. I immediately asked her to send more pics and quickly bought it. It arrived today and I am dead over how perfect it is.

Congrats of finding your holy grail of zircons! Love the nails as well. Where are you with the setting process?

Ordered the setting from one of the chinese moissanite vendors (Tianyu). Its Chinese new year so I'm waiting for them to come back before I get CADs

Lol it sounded clever when I started the process well over a year ago. But it just took so damn long to find the *exact* color I wanted. Not to mention the $$ I spent buying stones that I thought would work but didnt. Basically it sounded much cleverer than it was in the end Haha

Congrats on your dream stone!!! Curious, do your pics accurately display the color? I have pink/brown zircons and have never been able to get an accurate photograph. So frustrating. Does yours shift in different lighting? If yes, what colors do you see?

Ugh yeah its super hard to get an accurate pic! I took about 30 pics to get the 10 I used because the other ones just weren't representing what I see IRL. The shade pics are very accurate and weren't super hard to get. But the sunlight pics were freaking insanely hard to get. I think because of the double refraction of zircon and how it reflects rainbow colors it ended up just looking blurry, messy, or the wrong color entirely.
