could i know price for tourmaline paraiba, blue neon,25carat,unpolished stone, most clean stone i have see, many facets

no

No because ...........

1. Unless there is a lab report there's nothing to say whether this is from Paraiba or whether this is a stone from Mozambique
2. How do you know it's a tourmaline not a synthetic?
3. Neon is subjective. People say they have a neon stone when they don't. The colour affects the price greatly.
4. The rough may be too included to be faceted (or only yield a tiny stone).

All of the above could GREATLY affect the price and I could go on .............

Your best bet is to take it to a few lapidarists and see how much they offer you.

No, you could not know the price for...., at least not here. This is a consumer forum and no one here can give you valuation. But even if someone could, it is impossible to tell what it is you have or are trying to do with it from what you have told us. You say it is unpolished, yet you see many facets. What does that mean? You also say it is the most clean stone you ever saw. That too, is quite meaningless. Now are you looking to know the retail value of such a stone to an end user, or wholesale to a rough dealer, or wholesale to a lapidary, or then wholesale to a jewelry maker? Regardless of your answer to that, no one here can give you valuation. The stone needs to be assessed in hand by a qualified professional. The absence of a good description and photos and context from you makes it even more impossible for anyone here to even consider a guess, or point you in a direction that may lead you to knowing the price for...

Most of us here (and in other forums which might give you more information) will tell you you NEED more than just pictures to identify gems of any sort, and we are a consumer forum, which means we are not qualified to tell you where to sell anything.

Valuation aside, you need a lot more information if your intent is to sell the stone:
1. Is it rough or already faceted? Your post is unclear. It stated "unpolished" which means rough, then stated it as "many facets" which infers that it is already faceted.
2. You claim that it is neon but that's your opinion. Untrained eyes see most stones as neon but not experienced eyes.
3. Is this neon enough to be considered a Paraiba? Best to let the lab decide this or else it will be a difficult sale. You'll need a reputable lab such as GIA, AGL, Gubelin and the like.
4. Many people are unaware of this but many Paraibas are now treated. The labs will verify this for you too.
5. Strange as it may sound, in the coloured stone world, the stone does not have to be internally flawless to be worth a lot. If anything, that is a red flag for being a synthetic stone. Eye cleanliness is the standard.

Michelle that's not actually true. Although we're a consumer forum, many posters have gemological qualifications and there are lapidarists/vendors who also post here. We can often suggest routes of where to go/people to talk to. In this instance I think it will be unlikely however!

Thank you for correcting me on this LD! :)

I actually meant more of that we couldn't directly link the person to other forums/places where we could get help and as such, if OP doesn't get the hints then there might be some difficulty in that. But I didn't fully explain myself and I can see how OP/others would take this wrongly, so.

No worries - fully understand Michelle! ;) My understanding is that we can actually link to several places (for example to lapidarists who may be able to help) or vendors etc but we can't link to forums that sell or other gemological forums. Sometimes people post photos of rough and it's so appalling that there's no way it would be facetable (not sure that's a word!!!). Sometimes the rough is so pretty that we can suggest places to go to! It's a fine line because we can usually give a ROUGH guestimate on value of a faceted gemstones if photos are good and the poster says they're true to life and the stone has a report because it's fairly easy to compare to the market - although many of us are reluctant to do it. I'm happy to value my own gemstones but uncomfortable doing it for others. :))

If you post pictures in various lighting conditions and from various angles, and you provide facts such as gram weight, and educated guess (if possible) on what level of inclusions the stone has (for example, is there an area that is eye clean, or is there stuff througout?), we might be able to point you in the direction of help. Pretty soon, many of the experts and lapidaries who frequent this forum will be in Tucson and be busy. But if you post within the week you can likely get someone to suggest next steps for you.
