This was one of my entries into AGTA Cutting Edge in 2008 (as a loose gem). 32.77ct Morganite in a classic Asscher-style emerald cut. The recipient of the piece was a two-time breast cancer survivor and she wanted this Morganite to memorialize her experience. Peter & Co jewelers in Avon Lake Ohio created the jewelry design for their client. As a finished piece it won an award through the IJO buying organization during their annual competition.

Just Gorgeous! The stone itself is amazing, and the setting for it is perfection.

Re: Trade members: Show us your ONE favorite piece! A little

Roger: Beautiful stone and it looks very nice in the rose gold setting. I remember meeting you and seeing this amazing morganite in person at a trunk show in San Francisco few years ago.

Art Nouveau

Holy moly, that is just gorgeous! And I love the color of the brownish yellow, it's got some body to it. :appl:

I think Ella said you could post a link, I couldn't find it on the website, and I'd love to know the particulars.

+1 !!!! Yekutiel, this ring is amazing!!!

Great thread. Thank you Ella for allowing it.

Here is my favorite piece so far, just because I love rose cuts. It's a rose-cut padparadscha sapphire and rose-cut diamonds in rose gold daisy ring with milgrain bezels.

Truly spectacular! :appl: I'm on a huge rose cut "kick" lately.

Holy cow, I pulled up the GIA report and it's a BIG rock! 12.08 x 7.26 x 4.26 mm

Re: Trade members: Show us your ONE favorite piece! A little

Very nice selections.

That orange sapphire is just flipping gorgeous.

Erika, I adore that halo of yours. I need to win the lottery.

Grace, that ring is unforgettable.

Erica, I'm jealous of your ears.

Wink, the workmanship on that pendant is very lovely.

BMG That Orchid sapphire has amazing color, wow.

Yekutiel, really nice pave.

I've always like the Bella pendant from WF.

David, where is the inclusion on that... I think I see it one minute, then I look at one of the other pictures and I lose it again.

Alexis... HOLY MOTHER OF MONEY! A 282k ring. I love the diamond but the setting isn't doing much for me or for it (sorry, but... that stone is so beautiful).

I hope more vendors post!

Re: Trade members: Show us your ONE favorite piece! A little

It was so hard for me to pick just one because I've worked with many clients over the past nine+ years, but the clean lines of the Empire Deco inspired ring we recently made has me completely smitten! I love clean lines, channel setting, and the elegance of the custom cut squares just makes me swoon. The traps were custom cut as well to fit precisely the profile of the ring the client commissioned. No fancy shots here, as we never touch the finished pieces with bare hands. We prefer to have the client be the first to put that imprint on the finished piece.

The ring has eight 1.5 mm, two 1.75, two 2 mm square cuts, and two 2x2x3mm trapezoid cuts. Center stone shown is a 1.14 F/VS Crafted By Infinity ideal cut. http://highperformancediamonds.com/index.php?page=store-product-detail&id=209

Thanks for asking Gypsy!
These photos might help.
There were taken in a light box, and the feather is in perfect focus
r4755-i1-cushion-diamond-b.jpg

I used photoshop to draw arrows to outline the imperfection better

r4755-i1-cushion-diamond-b-arrow.jpg

Your assessment is a good one- this type of feather can be translucent in some lighting, and opaque in others.
The fact that the feather's color matched the stone helped a bit as well.

Hope this helps!

Special thanks to our Ella for starting this fun thread!! :appl:

I recently launched my first bridal jewelry collection, and this was the first ring that came out of production, so it is very dear to me.

Caroline Halo set with a 2.50-carat antique cushion-cut diamond.

Re: Trade members: Show us your ONE favorite piece! A little

Here's a really special one that we adore:
4-season-pendant-pic5.jpg
_16525.jpg
We call it the Leibish & Co. Four Seasons Pendant.

We think that its particularly special because each of the 5 diamonds is a Fancy Vivid natural fancy color diamond. The colors are green, blue, purplish pink, greenish blue, and orange, and they are all GIA certified. The color diamonds are each surrounded by a halo of beautiful open pave set round colorless diamonds, and the pendant is offset by 2 baguette shaped diamonds and the chain features 4 round bezel set diamonds (not pictured). Check it out on our website! http://www.leibish.com/necklaces-jewelry/the-four-seasons-fancy-colored-diamond-pendant-necklace-15244

Its really just the epitome of magnificence...
