My mother graciously offered my grandmother's 1ct stone from her wedding set, to put in my tacori rd 2620

I'm debating if I want to go the "transitional" route (I'm 99% certain that is the cut of her stone) - or if I want a modern round brilliant.

Can anyone give me feedback based on the 2620 setting? Does anyone have pics of this? This diamond stuff is seriously overwhelming! So much to learn!!!

In my opinion, a nice antique stone is better than a modern round brilliant in an antique style ring like Tacori! But I'd want the diamond to be nice quality, as in decent color, clarity, cut, and condition. Can you take some macro shots and post them? It would be great to have an heirloom stone to use if it works out!

There are lots and lots of threads with the Tacori 2620. You have another thread, in which Pandabee linked a bunccccchhhhhh for you.

I vote transitional, since its time period matches the Tacori more :)) Not that a MRB wouldn't look good in it… but I feel a transitional is a better fit.

ETA: That's so sweet of your mom to offer an heirloom diamond! The sentimentality behind it is even more reason to use it. Create an heirloom for your future wife to pass on to your future kids!! :appl:

For the reasons listed above, I also vote transitional! I'd be so excited to get an heirloom to continue to pass on. Please post some pictures of your grandmother's stone!!
