I just wanted to update this post since I’ve recently reset my 1.4 ct transitional e-ring diamond into an emerald target halo. I’ve always loved emeralds and the halo is giving me the extra finger coverage I wanted without letting go of the stone I love so much. I was inspired to make the leap after drooling over some of the gorgeous colored stone halos I’ve seen on here recently.

Thanks! The band is from Bowman Originals. They have a website and an Etsy shop, but it was an ebay find for me.

What an amazing stone! The new settling was simple perfection but I love the new emerald target, what a yummy combination! Loving the laurel leaf band as well I’ve got a feeling we might be seeing some more of those cropping up around here!

I get why you won’t let her go. If life lets you, buy another stone, but you’ll never be able to replace her if you found you missed her. It’s not like a modern RB where you can replace the stone and get identical performance.

These old cuts, cut by hand, are each unique pieces of art.

I've had a similar experience with a MRB diamond that I bought a few years ago and is 1.14 ct. I had arranged for an upgrade with Blue Nile but at the last moment I realized that I couldn't let her go, I just couldn't. She seemed so perfect to me that I couldn't find it in my heart to sacrifice her for an upgrade!
So I kept her and I might arrange for a reset for her but I will never part ways with her! I'd rather save money for many years and buy a whole new stone than send her back!
You chose well! Enjoy your glorious ring!!!
