The round ruby is what I’d call a pink sapphire and it’s going to Ivy and Rose for a modestly priced setting. It is one of the “known” ones by being nicely unheated and with inclusion. Yay for inclusions.
It’s “oval friend” also a “known ruby” the one I was going to set with the diamonds I bought from another PSer but I’ve decided not to kept that one.

Those 4 top emerald cuts! I never cared for rubies before you shared that pic of the big one in the sun. Now, I’m questioning my old opinions.

@Bron357, I am also interested in rubies. Not sure if I could afford one, but I would definitely try! The top 6 all look interesting, but it's hard to tell from just one picture. That oval you decided not to keep looks interesting, too.

Hopefully I do not come off like a greedy monster considering that I won your wonderful damaged ruby. I can't wait until it arrives.

Oh if we’re picking favourites, mine is on the left, third down. It’s a little red, a little pink, a little clear, a little included, and all together charming!

Seriously, Bron, let us know if you’re listing them on LT. Maybe we can do a PS auction. That would be fun!

Also, I remember why you sent Truth to Suzanne now! Yes both of you are kind generous souls who deserve to co-own some sparkly golden sunshine.

Thanks everyone.
And I do need to explain the dilemma I have with them re getting an AGL report.
There is 32 carats altogether, say at $3,000 a carat, that $100,000 worth.
Apart from the cost and drama of sending them insured and by secure delivery, it’s the coming back that’s the problem.
Even though they are mine already, Customs will still levy a 10% customs fee. I will be able to eventually claim the tax, back but.....
And it gets really really painful if they use a figure from gem pricing site - does the report say Burmese - ok then that’s up to $30,000 a carat ie 32 x 30 = $960,000 (note I’m not suggesting at all that my rubies are worth anywhere near that but that’s the price range quoted).
So that’s me paying $96,000 just to get my rubies back!
And I know from first hand experience how Customs loves to hit you up. A while ago I bought a pair of pre loved small diamond studs - I paid $600 (under the $1,000 taxable threshold) but the seller “kindly” included in the parcel a totally overinflated valuation for $3,500 so guess what, I got hit for $350 plus $60. It took me 3 months via email, filling in forms, faxing documents ie the receipt etc phoning up before I got my $350 back.
So I figure I’m going to have fly to the US with them and get them done while there.
Next year is looking ok. Woo Hoo.

Truth is like one of those old money girls who lives 6 months of the year on different coasts. So will it be May to October with Suzanne, and then Nov to Apr with Bron so it's like she brings the summer with her?

Possibly the first row of emerald cuts or maybe the second row. It's hard to judge from pics, but I'd want the best cut with best clarity. Colors look good on the top 4 emerald cuts. I am fine with pinkish red. Of course, I have no idea how many carats these are! So price obviously is a factor.

This still blows my mind. It's like discovering the Titanic jewels or something!
