I'm in the process of hunting for a pear shaped Tsav. I know I wanted a lighter color Tsav. I don't think I prefer the med-med dark ones however what one person would call med another might call light. Regardless I'm in the hunt for one with similar coloring to the Swala Tsav below. My budget is open but of course I dont' want to overspend. I'm working with Eric at swala but was curious to see if anyone had seen anything recently that might fit my specs??

Have you contacted Prima Gems? He specializes in Tanzanian stones and should have some pears that you can choose from.

That looks very similar in color to the one I got from Gemrite. They have another two their site currently, a scissor-cut rectangle and an oval, I think, that look very similar in color to mine. Gemrite's prices are waaaaay less than Swala's.

I'm not sure how big of a stone you're looking for but here are a couple I found that may suit your needs. I tried to find ones that were lighter, without being too light.

This is a nice minty one from GemSelect. Very reasonably priced

This one may be too yellowish, but it's still worth a look from Multicolour

This one is the darkest of them, but I think its still beautiful

And...this last one is my favorite for what you may be looking for. I think its the perfect shade

Hope you find one you like!

This gorgeous tsav pear is at Roger Dery / Spectral Gems

Multicolour's online photos are, um, optimistic.

I'm looking at something that would be around or over 3cts.

Thanks Chrono I will contact Prima. Are they listed in the preferred vendors list?

I will ping them as soon as I get back from picking up the kiddos. I did a really quick search on their site and all the Tsav's seem to be around he 1ct marker so I will see if they have anything larger.

Don't bother with the website because they never list their nice stuff online. They also deal with honker stones up to 10 ct Mahenges amongst others.

He's often at the Intergem shows as well if you get a chance to stop in at one of those.

I wish but with a hyper active 2 year old and a wiggly 10 month old I can just imagine walking into Intergem and being kindly asked to leave when one of them swallowed something that was super expensive! =)

I'm afraid to say that you wouldn't even be allowed in the door, as they've now prohibited kids under 8 :(sad
