Hi all,
I posted here: [URL='https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/ideas-for-setting-tsavorite-earrings.188118/']https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/ideas-for-setting-tsavorite-earrings.188118/[/URL] a little while ago about some gorgeous little tsavs that my fiancé gave me for my birthday. I finally got around to having them made in to earrings, so I thought I would show everyone how they turned out. Thanks to everyone for their help.
They are a lot more vibrant and grassy and sparkly than they appear in the pictures, and what looks like extinction is just shadows and my bodgy pictures.
The window issue I was concerned about has completely gone away, as my jeweller very cleverly did a back-tapered bezel that fixed it right up. We also decided to make the bezels a bit chunkier than normal to give them a little heft, as the stones aren't that big. Because we got such an insanely good price on the garnets (under $100/ct) it meant I could beef them up with a couple of sweet little 0.33ct princess cut diamonds. They're set in 14kt white gold. The tsavs themselves are about 7mm x 5mm.
Thankyou to everyone that helped come up with ideas for the design. I couldn't be happier with them. They're simple enough that I can wear them to work, but elegant enough that they'll dress up an outfit. Exactly what I wanted!
And now pictures! (My goodness, green is hard to photograph. These were taken indoors with my little Panasonic Lumix, in morning sunlight at different angles around the room. The ear shot provided for scale is with my camera phone, in front of the bathroom mirror).

fabulous setting! I love the bezel design! And the princess stones on point really punches up the modern feel!
