"I will try my best but blue sapphire prices are not that easy to be extremely acurate with. So like you said these prices are "rough ideas"

Medium to Medium Dark Blue Tone
Strong Saturation
Eye Clean
Good Cut
Heat Treatment Only

In 2012 this stone would be in the range of $1250-$1800 per carat. Now its $1500-$2150 per carat.
Hope this helps. Again this is just my personal experience and others may have experienced different pricing."

I should also say that if the origin of the stone is Burma expect to pay a premium. Same goes for Kashmir but that's a given.

Well, you are right. Ella was kind enough to reply and for future reference she said vendors can show stones that have already sold:

"only if it is for educational purposes, i.e., to show a certain color or type of inclusion, at the request of a user. Otherwise we do not allow it as vendors have taken advantage of it in the past to advertise for their items."

You were wise to ask, and I'm sorry I nearly led you down a rabbit hole, but your team's photography is like the best gem art

That said, did you see the discussion Chris started on what is "red?" Perhaps you have a contribution as to the pure reddest stone you've ever sold? That would be allowed as it is completely germane to the discussion at hand, as you'll see if you read the thread. We've collectively had a hard time finding such stones...Here is the thread:
