On my e-ring I have a white gold head and a yellow gold band (3 stone ring). Can the jeweler rhodium plate just the head portion back to shiny white gold? It is very dull and nearly yellow. Is this a difficult process compared to just dunking the whole ring? Do they cover up the band so it doesn''t get plated? Thanks for any help!

DR, it should be no problem. They will coat the yellow gold with a solution, like nail polish. When the ring is immersed only the uncovered white gold will attract the rhodium.
