LMAO!!!! Well I hope whoever gets it is a PS member and posts pics!!!
Ditto!

Sadly, I didn''t get the ugly stone. The person in front of me purchased it. Not sure if they are a PSer as Dan said they were from Japan. Hopefully are on here so we can see what it really looks like.

I got a response:

''The color is a sick slightly pinkish (maybe) brown-gray. It is the most repulsive color I''ve ever seen in a tourmaline. I was hoping for a stone that was just ''silver'', as that is very rare and oddly attractive. But noooo.....it came out to be ''corpse'' colored. The stone is clean, brilliant, etc., but that color is just horrid. :-)''

I''m ROLFMAO!!!!!!
Aside from LindaW describing her pad as having cellulite, I think this is one of the funniest descriptions of a gemstone - "corpse colored."

Well at least he''s honest.

If the buyer is from Japan, it''s highly likely it''s one of his collectors and not a PSer.

LMAO!!! Oh that''s just calling horrible images to mind. Dan is too funny!

He''s honest and has a good sense of humour to boot. Gotta love that guy.

It''s back up on the website again. Maybe the buyer changed his/her mind.

I just checked and don''t see it on the website. Is it on the main page?

It was???

Hahahaha! It is, isn''t it?! I love the "corpse coloured" part! lol

Where was it?

HA! I actually snorted out aloud when I read the ''corpse'' bit.

DH asked what I was laughing at, and I told him a jewellery thing and that he wouldn''t get it (he really wouldn''t!). He happily went back to what he was doing, no further questions

That is too funny! At least we know he''ll be honest with us about how a stone looks.

I once asked a color consulant if there was any color that she would not recommend to anyone for their wardrobes, and she said yes... that she didn''t think greyish pink was flattering on anybody.

I guess Dan agrees!

Greyish-pink...ugh. Reminds me either of rotting meat or an elephant. Or rotting elephant. Ok...gonna go throw up now.

Fortunately, and maybe it's Dan's cutting, but the stone looks MUCH better than a rotting elephant!

hahahaha.. sounds like a nice stone for a pathologist. eww!

Bet it''s still prettier than the maul stones, though.

Funny description! The response to Freke''s question really made me want to buy it...and a lot of other people from the sound of it.

Well at least Dan''s stone is cut well. Here''s another "corpse colored" tourmaline with an awful cut to boot. It''s probably the ugliest tourmaline I''ve ever seen. So ugly, I had to take a screen shot of it and show people because I just don''t think it''s possible to have an uglier gemstone.

LOL!! That looks like my clear white tourmaline!

I think if I took a piece of glass, and banged it up, and let it sit in a concoction of toxic waste for a year, it would end up still looking better than that stone I posted.

Dan''s stone looks gorgeous next to this one.

Where did that come from TL?

Well, he''s honest

You mean the stone, or my analogy?

So true!

Gross color aside, as least Dan''s stone would perform well!
