Hi!

I am brand new to this site, and have been having a little look around to "educate" myself further to ensure a fantastic buy on my nice diamonds(s) and thought that it was about time I registered!

I am on the hunt for an engagement ring (yes, the boyfriend would buy me a cubic zirconia and says I wouldn''t know the difference

) after 9 years together. I thought I knew my 4 Cs until I searched this forum, oh dear, will be here a lot I think!

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know everyone (and to bug you all with my soon to follow questions - sorry in advance

)!

Cheers,

Brooke (from a land "Downunder")

Welcome to PS!
Where diamonds are our insanity :}

Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Welcome, Brooke. The more you participate actively, the better educated you will become. If you are active, you get to ask the questions to which you need or want answers, rather than getting the answers to some questions others ask which may or may not be your questions.

What kind of stone do you want? Do you know the shape you want yet?

We just think that everyone is as nuts about diamonds as we are. If it''s info overload, just let us know.

Awww, thank you all!! So nice and generous here! I will continue to research then question mode will come!

AGBF - I have always wanted a princess cut with side trillions, however I might just go for a princess solitare (maybe with an anniversary style band). And I am looking at purchasing over the internet as prices, quality and choice seem much better. So I will eventually have a lot of questions revolving around these things!

Cheers

Why don''t you come on by the Ladies In Waiting? It''s for us... pre-engaged women.

That''s the great thing about this forum, not only can you learn about diamonds but share the agony of waiting for the ring and proposal.

Hi!

cymbrie - Thanks for the link, I will check it out. I hadn't really thought of buying diamonds from overseas, was just looking at Australian sites previously. I live in QLD on the Sunshine Coast, so waaaaayy on the other side from your family!

And I will have to come say hello at the ladies in waiting area!

BTW, I love everyone's pets in their avator thingy! I'm a huge dog lover, so will have to put mine in there too eventually!
