Under 1ct diamonds

No new posts to this thread for a while, so thought I would share what I’ve been wearing recently. Of course I have shared both here before but both of these main stones are right around 1/2 carat.

My favorite thread! OEC on the left? Lovely rings!

My favorite thread! OEC on the left? Lovely rings!

Thanks so much! I think so, it seems to be a very early OEC, I hope to have my appraiser look at it someday.

Realized I haven’t added my fancy yellow from DBL. The center diamond is .42 measures 6.11x 4.22. The halo diamonds add another 11 points, not bad coverage for a size 8+ finger.

Also trying to resurrect this thread so if anyone out there has some new additions, or an updated picture of an old one, please share!

I want a ring from him SO badly. Digital noseprints on his website.

Digital noseprints....that is hysterical but I can totally relate! I will tell you that he gave me a good deal, so something to keep in mind if you ever find something you have to have.

SO beautiful!!! Love it with the band!

Apparently I have lots of smaller diamond rings that I have never added here so…

This is an Ostby Barton piece, the diamond is an OMC around 40 points, has a unique color to it that my IPhone camera just loves to ”correct” (shaking my fist at you Apple!)

It has a super high crown and depending on the light it’s cognac or beige, sometimes with a little purple or pink flash, really cool. At one point I had this listed for sale thinking it was too small for me, but I’m glad it didn’t sell because I have a greater appreciation for fancy color diamonds now no matter the size.

Omg @YadaYadaYada !!! You have a whole treasure of under 1 ct rings!!!! I absolutely love them. I come from a culture where big diamonds are not really favored over smaller ones. On the contrary, 95% of the ER in my country are definitely less than 1ct. Nevertheless, people here pay attention to the high quality of the diamonds and the style of the setting.
I appreciate your rings so much! They are beautiful and I like so much the way you stack them in your photos!

I really do @Natylad! Thank you for your sweet comments, it is especially flattering coming from you because you have beautiful pieces.

I‘ve had some bigger pieces, fancier pieces but they just don’t make sense for my lifestyle. The smaller diamonds are just more me. This is one of my favorite threads on PS because it makes diamonds more accessible, it proves that a diamond does not need to be a certain size to be worthy, there is room for everyone at the table.

So very well said my dear @YadaYadaYada ! ❤️

I'll add mine. I've posted it before, and changed settings, but the platinum Tiffany & Co solitaire is my favorite. The diamond is .90ct from JA.Resized_16967326002316595272072441139927_60222345887896.jpegResized_16967326002316595272072441139927_60222345887896.jpeg

Didn't mean to post twice

Here’s my Van Craeynest / CBI ring. I’ve had it for three or four years. I bought the setting preloved from a lovely PS’er, and @Wink and crew set the .53 E/SI1 CBI just beautifully.

That is a fabulous ring! I'd try to buy it from you but I'm sure you'd never sell it.
Just gorgeous diamond and setting.

Thank you, @Ibrakeforpossums! It really is beautiful. Never say never—the tech layoffs have really hurt my income this year, and I have been thinking of selling a few pieces. Saying goodbye to this one would really hurt, but if I decide to let it go, I will let you know. :)

This may win the prize for the smallest diamond ever shared in this thread at a tiny .05 ct, BUT I can now say I own a pink diamond! Now, it has not been sent to GIA so I only know for sure that it’s definitely a diamond, under a microscope it certainly looks promising that it is probably not enhanced. It was sold to me as an Australian pink diamond from an estate in Massachusetts, so that is the story.

Guys, it is so small I literally laughed when I opened the box but it’s kind of neat how it looks like nothing to anyone else, kind of like my little secret. Fits on my thumb, so it is a rather unconventional thumb ring, someday it may be put into something else and at that point I would send it for a cert.

I thought Itty-Bitty Pretty One is a good fitting name. These are the best shots I could get. Magnified and under a light but against a tissue so you can see the color. If you have never tried to photograph a tiny stone trust me, it’s not easy!

You can definitely see the pink tint @YadaYadaYada, and I love the setting, it’s really unique.

It’s beaut. And good job setting it creatively. IMHO sometimes small colored diamonds get halo-ed to death.

And please post in the below thread!

Thanks @Austina, a lot of pictures to get just a few worthy shots!

@oncrutchesrightnow, hey thanks but I can’t take credit for the setting, I bought the diamond already set in this ring. Been looking on Etsy for inspiration for what I might do with it but nothing definite.

Will post there too, didn’t even know that thread existed!

I love my .50ct vintage emerald cut with baguettes. There is something about step cuts. The asscher is also .50ct.
