Thanks for the link, VL! I am more impatient and frustrated than panicky, I think. I have looked at sapphires before and found them so high and gave up. But when I bought this setting, I knew it would be a good chance to get a sapphire since it needs a fairly small stone. So I will try a little longer to find one.

.....What I know for sure is that I cannot settle for a mediocre sapphire. I want a great color and cut and very eyeclean or I don't want one at all.........

i well know this feeling and decision.........i'd rather do w/o than settle for what i consider to be less if i'm buying for something specific as you are.....sigh....heavy sigh.
