Update with pics!

I know they're not expensive or rare and my projects are extremely modest in price, but I am excited anyhow! I wanted to come back and post a positive outcome to the thread I'd started about issues with a vendor last week. I did indeed receive my stones and absolutely love them! As promised, here are a couple of crappy cell phone pics.

I'm going to set the aquas as studs and the amethysts will go with a pair of 2mm diamonds in this www.etsy.com/transaction/35436201 setting, but I'm waiting until Daniel M finishes the pink tourmaline ring. I went w/argentium shank and rose gold head for that. I'm really excited to finally start setting some pieces!

Hey Tammy! Those pairs are BEAUTIFUL! (to my eye, anyway!) I enjoyed reading your thread about the confusion with cutting/sizes/etc. and so glad that it worked out well in your favour - they look amazing!

The amethysts will be gorgeous along with the diamonds, in that etsy setting! How are the aqua studs going to be set? Martini? Bezel? milgrain bezel? 4 prong.... ??? Just curious

You know, I'm not entirely sure but I think the aquas will be martini set. I have to send the jackets with them and just let them decide how they want to do it. I had considered having the amethysts bezel or 6 prong set to give them some added girth and use them w/the studs too, but I just don't want to drown out that pretty pale purple with too much metal. I know it's not a traditional deep amethyst, but the lilac color is exactly what I requested and I love it.

Wow, I rather like the light lilac colour of the amethysts. While I am not crazy about aquamarines in general, these are beautifully cut and not the typical washed out, almost colourless ones.

Wow, I rather like the light lilac colour of the amethysts. While I am not crazy about aquamarines in general, these are beautifully cut and not the typical washed out, almost colourless ones.

This was exactly what I felt too. I didn't want the dark amethyst color and while aquamarine is my birthstone, I have never found one that has really "done it" for me. I do wish they were a tad darker, but I love them anyhow. I can't wait to have them all set!
