Oh....My....GAWD!!!!

I am sooo fricken biased, though, because I have a princess e-ring. I''m glad you didn''t change the setting, it looks really lovely with the new stone.

So, whatcha gonna do w/the original center stone? Pendant? RHR? It''s too pretty to just hide in a jewelry box, ya know

Holy Cow! Those outside shots are amazing - it''s gorgeous! i love that you kept the same design/stone as your original, because it''s sooo pretty

I used the original stone towards the trade in on the new one. Even though the original stone wasn''t from them, they allowed me to trade it in towards the new one.

The very first (this is stone #4 (one cracked! not my fault, so 3 changes) I was engaged with was a 0.33 princess cut. Although I don''t still have it, I think one of these days I will buy one and set it into a pendant.

Ooooooops! sorry, i meant in that last post that i love that you kept the same setting and SHAPE for the center stone... it came out wrong

Thank you everyone for your sweet comments!

Everyone seems to like that I kept the setting... I am also! This was the plan all along. It was kind of a weird way to do it. I got the setting first (because it wasn''t cheap (it''s platinum)) and I know I wanted a large princess cut center stone... so saved up for it after I had the setting to put it in. I didn''t want them to stop carrying the setting or something, because when I saw it I knew it was "the one"!

VERY cool of the jeweler to do the trade up even without it being originally theirs. of course, the other was also a very beautiful specimen, so I''m sure they had noooo problem taking the trade!!

The new one is really quite stunning. I keep coming back to stare at the one pic on the edge of the red box (the outdoor shot). I mean...wow.

Yeah the red box picture is one of the few I didn''t catch my reflection in, so it shows the true color of the diamond!

Glad everyone is liking the photos!

Beautiful! I was thinking your stone was 2+ cts at least! Congrats!

Thanks! The bands aren''t super thick (like 2-2.5mm, not sure) so I think that helps the center stone stand out!

that is a gorgeous Princess cut! i''ve never seen one so sparkly and pretty before, and it looks HUGE on your hand. you''ll definitely get a few double-takes with this one. congrats on a fabulous upgrade!
