Promising 60/60 cut from the numbers. Need idealscope image to confirm but SB will not be able to provide them.

Thank you for you input. My main concern is that the table size 60%. Does the diamond have less fire or scintillation?

The table size is fine, some particularly like the 60 60 look, click here for more info on 60 60 stones from the Pricescope tutorial. It is possible from the proportions that the stone might favour brilliance rather than fire as is apparently the case with these types of diamonds, but this is only speculation and we can't get any really meaningful info just from the basic proportions. The diamond has potential, ideally it would be best to get an Idealscope image however I don't think SB provide them and this might not be an inventory stone. See if they can call it in for you and describe it for you.

Thanks Lorelei. You are right. The stone is not an inventory stone. However, the rep told me that she can take an idealscope image when the stone arrives into store tomorrow. I will upload the image as soon as I have it.

That''s interesting.

Will wait and see the Idealscope image.

Ok thanks tien, if SB are going to be providing images that would be a great move and very useful to know, can you keep us informed and post any images if you get them please?

As the matter of fact, the rep at solomonbothers does not know what the Idealscope image is. When I ask her to send me an image, she said that she will send it to me but she sent me a appraisal report instead. Now I am totally confusing. In the GIA certificate, it states that pavilion angle=41%, and with this angle, the HCA=1.7. However, the pavilion angle in the report states %41.3, as the result the HCA=3.7. If the information in the appraisal report is correct, then I am not going to buy this diamond.

Suggestions please?

That is pavilion depth, GIA pavilion angles is listed in steps of 0.2 degrees, you will never get a 41.3 degree pavilion angle.

Ok, read it better, the appraisal is from another lab, appraiser? That is not the GIA report right? Deviation between labs in measurement is expected.

GIA will round numbers at times. I don''t think I would risk it with the uncertainty.

Ok, so it looks like no Idealscope image will be forthcoming from SB. Do you know where the appraisal report originates from please?
