V-Day plans

Our dating anniversary is 2/9, so we kind of merge that into V-Day and celebrate both together. Last year, we went nuts and went to the USVI for a long weekend. That was pretty sweet!! This year''s not quite as extravagant. I''m making dinner (which is a treat since he cooks more often than I do) and we''re swapping small gifts. I have a feeling we''ll probably ween ourselves off gift-giving for V-Day pretty soon, but we''ll probably always do a special dinner in or out.

B and I are going the super-practical route this year. We''ll be celebrating Valentine''s Day a few days before...we made reservations at a place that''s probably been booked for V-Day since last year, but we''ll be avoiding the crowds since we won''t be going directly on the holiday. We''ll spend the 14th doing something low-key at home.

He just bought a new bike, so I''m going to get him a sweet helmet for V-Day.

You''re in STL, if I remember correctly... if you are going to Sidney Street (which I know is a big Valentine''s Day spot), I am SO JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE that place.

We''re going to a B&B in Williamsburg, VA for the weekend. Saturday-Monday. We''ll probably go to Williamsburg on Sunday during the morning and then drive out to Viriginia Beach for a nice dinner that evening.

If you''re not sure where you''re going for dinner, I can recommend a few places that my SO and I have been in the area. I know of an awesome seafood place to go that overlooks the bay

I''ve never been there, but heard it was pretty good. There''s a place on Shore Drive in VA Beach called the Lynnhaven Fish House. The views and the food are amazing. I''ve been there several times and haven''t been disappointed yet. I live in Chesapeake now so I don''t venture out that way too much these days.

We usually go out on another day other than Vday just ecause we live in a college town and dinner could take 5 hours just to get seated!!!

Absurd. So, on VDay I am going to a lingerie party with my girls.

All of your plans sound so exciting! I am very jealous AustenNut! I wish I knew my SO had ordered me an e-ring!! Here''s hoping you get your V-day proposal, since your e-ring will be here around then! My SO and I do not have any very solid plans yet for v-day I just asked him what he wanted for the holiday but he said he had always felt like v-day was more for me than him (awwww) but I think I will at least get him a card. I have always felt like it was a holliday made for celebrating the love you have in your life, SO or not

I do not expect any proposal on Valentines Day however since talk about a ring has really gone down since Dec of last year. I guess I will not see it coming if it does happen

We tend to use it as an excuse to go out to a nicer restaurant than normal - but we jump at any excuse to do that!

We usually eat too much and end up sick on the couch consoling each other....love love love the romance

Thank sounds exactly like us! I love Feb. - I have both my birthday and V-day so lots of yummy food.

I think we may go back to Brasserie Jo on V-Day. We were only there last weekend (for the first time) but it was so delicious!

Sounds like us too! But usually we don''t do anything for V-day except buy some candy and a silly card for each other.
