It was an AGL Colombian...hmmm...maybe a window/poorly cut?
 
Just pictures/video...it was very "flat" either way. It looked deep enough so definitely not a portrait cut tho. I don't know why!
 
Well I know it’s not fair to judge a photo, but this one looks flat, and it’s too yellowish, although medium tone and minor enhancement, not too badly included, and It’s Columbian. Not all Colombian emeralds are beautiful, same goes for Kashmir sapphire and Burma rubies. You can find duds in any premium location.

No, I just saw this on IG this evening and wanted to share it with you and others. The video is kind of cool...no? Very unusual cut.

I was at the mall today, and tried on an emerald ring next to mine. The top stone was opaque, dark and unattractive, but I liked the setting. The sales lady saw my emerald and said, “why do you want that, when you have THAT?!” and she went in raving about my stone, asking me where it was from, what I paid, and when did I buy it. She was so honest, it was refreshing. She told me to “go home and stay away from their emeralds.”. However, I took a photo of them together and they both looked horrid. I just wanted to share the horrid photo.

The top ring was on sale with two deep discounts for $3800.

Ah, the frustrations of emerald photography.

Yeah, i believe many PSer's have gone beyond this level of quality by now.

The 18K setting could be almost 2K at retail?

The settings were really pretty though. I guess it’s easier to source the metal and melee, and just chuck a horrid commercial grade stone in there. These were EFFY examples.

The quality of these photos doesn't help either...:lol: but it's good to document them for future reference.

I'm out of touch and don't know this celebrity, but I can tell she's British by that hat! Silly Brits and their hats. Love the mismatched suite, though. I think things are too boring if everything is matchy matchy.
 
There’s just so many royal emeralds, there could be an enormous book on them. I know the same thing goes for rubies and sapphires, but emerald is my favorite gem of the big three.

Queen Elizabeth is a simple lady, and she doesn’t like frills. I heard her once tell someone that she doesn’t like jewelry and only wears it because she has to, or something like that. Ugh!! The most famous jewelry collection in the world, and she could care less. :confused2: I don’t think I could be Queen because I would sit dabbling with them all day. I would get nothing done!!!!

Yes! She wore the Cullinan broach on that program and fiddled at it like it was a piece of costume jewelry. She definitely is not a jewelry person!!
