We''re having a garden wedding with a reception in a historic bed and breakfast. I''d like to roll with a vintage theme, since I have a good start on the tuxes and my dress and accessories.
I''m working on centerpieces today, and want something non-floral. Initially, I was thinking those tall willow branches, but my venue won''t allow any candles except hurricanes, so they would be pretty bare.
I saw a photo on the knot that inspired an idea. I''d like your opinion. The couple had some kind of painting or something on a holder with some small grass and candle things. I was thinking I could do something like this with old MGM musical covers. This is something unique to me, and I think these covers are definitely colorful and vintagey, and many of the names on them would match my music play list (Frank Sintra, Bing Crosby, Gene Kelly, etc.). The problem is that we weren''t going to assign any seating, so would these signs be random or would they be cool? Paired with a small green plant or a sunken orchid or something?
