Want to learn about pink diamond, please help =D

Newgirl87, about the 0.25 Fancy Brownish Orangy Pink, "And this one, what's wrong with it since it very cheap?"

It has I1 clarity with black spots.
Also any brown in a hue brings down the price.

Many of the brownish pinks look gorgeous and the brownish is not that noticeable.
IMO that makes these a good value when you want a pink large enough to see, but more affordable.

Hi, Newgirl87!
I'm inclined to agree with the others: tread very cautiously in the realm of FCD and, if the deal seems too good to be true, then something is definitely wrong.

Pink diamonds are regarded as the third rarest in the world (behind blue then red)...are you wanting a pink diamond for the visual aspect of the color to wear often or the rarity factor for potential future value to keep in a collection?

If it's the latter, then it may be best to keep shopping, as I don't think this deal is all it's cracked up to be be.

If it's the former, then are you open to pink LGD?
There is one shop that regularly carries FCD LGD: NWD. Jump on over to the MMD/LGD subforum and you'll get some guidance from PS members more versed in that realm.

Some food for thought!

Agree 100%. There are gorgeous pink lab diamonds if OP is open to that

The 0,35 ct has three black inclusions - one in the center.

I have no problem but many dislike this and of course they are cheaper. And you will see the black spots.

I bought two diamonds from Leibish - perfect experience.
The video and pictures are very close to reality.

Agreed. The black spots would bother a lot of people. I personally would likely be fine with it due to the small size and loving the color, but it's definitely an individual preference

If my budget were 5k USD and I wanted pink, I would buy one of these:

Hi
im a bit confused….you have a trade badge, but you’re recommending vendors?

Why not?

Thank you so much for this information.

@DejaWiz it's the former as it will be my 10th anniv present heeheee. We prefer natural ones over lab just because it's just special. But yeah the budget are not that much soo... I also have problem find a lab pink that are the right hue, most are salmon/pink peach color, and the right pink are just expensive (for lab) so it's hard to justified.

@kenny I think I would not be bothered by the black spot, but more on the color as I want something pinker not browner, so not sure. If anybody have reference for once it's set with rose gold cup it would be very helpful :kiss2:

@lovedogs loving the marquise!! But I want pear chunky halo sooo much it's on my waiting list forever lol. The first pear are just so small and the second one is barely pink...

Looks like I have to save more, maybe for 15th anniv :cry2:

A Fancy pinkish Purple can be nice but the clarity is not good. Many cavities - they look like deep scratches. I would avoid buying such a quality.

Especially given the size and shape of the stone! The tip might break off.

I would really look at something else. If the appeal is the colour, then try pink lab stones. If the appeal is the investment potential, keep looking for a better natural pink.
