school suspended the idiot for 3 days then are having a hearing to see from there.
The DA isnt pressing charges on the condition he goes to a mental health clinic for evauluation.
Hopefuly it was just a stupid sick joke but who knows.

Only 3 days??? That''s just wrong. I hope he gets the help he needs. I can''t believe they aren''t taking this seriously. How are the parents feeling??

they are upset and ticked.
The school can only do 3 days without a hearing.
Her dad talked to his stepdad and he says they are going to make sure he gets checked out.
At this point the other parents want to make 100% sure he gets help and get an experts opinion if its safe for him to go back to school before he returns.

There are also hints there may have been others involved in creating the image.
The kid seems to be telling different stories to different people.

It has been totaly mishandled in there opinion and I agree.
The press did not help.
Some reported it like it was no big deal and others reported it like a mass murderer has been arrested.
Neither of which is helping.

What??? How can they not take it seriously??? After columbine??? There was another recent news item where 20 kids were suspended from school for viewing a web site that advocated violence toward a particular individual from the school.

I hope they find the "person" who did this and the parents of those kids need to start putting on the pressure.

Oh, Storm! What a traumatic event!!! The poor kids and their parents! It breaks my heart to hear about this stuff. When I was in college I worked with troubled youth at a Juvenile Detention Center and it was really scary. Kids can have such anger, such hatred of the people around them.

Hopefully this incident is just a sick joke, a cry for attention or whatever. No matter what it''s disheartening to hear how it was handled. What if something HAD happened? Would they have said, "Oops! Our mistake!".

It makes me sick.

The boy is getting professional help.
No charges were filed and he wasnt expelled.
He acted alone as far as they can tell.
Things have pretty much settled down and a lot of eyes are going to be on the kid for a long time.

Was it a real threat? A lot of people think so but who knows it could have just been the stupid act of a kid.
Last I heard her dad was ok with it as long as he was getting help and his daughter was ok with it.
She is not to be alone with him at anytime and there will be eyes everywhere for a while.

A big lesson from this is that the news media does not help and cant be counted on to tell the whole story.
