This week we put a deposit down on our ceremony and reception venue. Since we''re having a Catholic ceremony it was quite an accomplishment to find a unique ceremony spot so we are thrilled. Sept 22, 2007.
Here''s a link to the church. It''s an old church within a "living museum" of a 19th century village. My fiance and I are both Irish Catholic, and my grandfather was a farmer, so I thought the history of this was charming.

I have just started looking at gowns, and want something comfortable, and fairly simple. I''m liking some of the very soft lace looks maybe because it seems a bit antique-y? Here is the fave I''ve seen so far online. I love the back. I thought something like this would be in keeping with the style of our site. I love the advice of dress gurus on here so please feel free to send any ideas my way

Now is where I need advice- My 3 sisters are my bms and they range in age from 47-53. I wanted to have them in black so they could either pick out a dress of their choosing, but may go with some separates or something in a deep red autumn-y color. I can''t decide.
Our reception venue isdecorated in a slate blue color theme (colonial blue)with mauves and burgundy, and I very much want sunflowers and/or daisies incorporated in my bouquet (i.e. less formal style) I also love hydrangeas and peonies....
I almost feel like I should pick out the flowers before the bm dresses.
I''ve seen lots of good ideas combining dark reds with golds and dark blues, but would this all work with black bm dresses? I appreciate your opinions-
Sorry for the long post
