Not sure what to do here - I have a gorgeous split shank, halo engagement ring and absolutely cannot decide what to do for a wedding band.

Here is a link to my e-ring:

https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/engaged.135789/

My plan originally, since I am not a "matchy matchy" type, was to do alternating baguettes and rounds or alternating marquise and rounds in an eternity band style with a 1.5mm width. However, the quotes I''''m getting are far more than I expected and unless someone miraculously finds one for under $1,800 in platinum, it''''s just not going to happen.

So, I found the gorgeous and very reasonably priced Leon Mege String Theory band....

http://www.micropave.com/mg/index.php/collections/string-theory/string-micropave-band.html

My question is, do you think a 1.2 mm band will look silly next to my engagement ring? I should mention that I tried on a 2mm band and it seemed to overpower my engagement ring.

Also, what other options would you choose for my ring? Any and all help/suggestions are very much appreciated!!!

Have you seen this thread?

For a similiar and more cost effective alternative, I would contact ID Jewelry. They offer many different eternity bands which are available in WG and PT.

Here is a thread of luvmyhalo's GORGEOUS blue topaz and diamond eternity band by ID.

I second ID jewelry! Very reasonable and a lot of choices. You may also want to check out Beverley K at Pearlmans and Facets,

Bev K at Pearlmans

I LOVE those bands from ID Jewelry! I am planning on getting one made with aquamarines when budget allows. They can customize whatever you want, and are very nice to PS''ers!

I like the LM one you linked - ALOT!!!

I love the thin ID jewelry bands, there are so many that would look great with your ering or a Leon thin pave about 1.8mm. In my opinion, I think the string band at 1.2mm may be too thin..but you need to try it on together.

1.2mm?

I'd bend/snap something that thin in less than 24 hours.

Facets has a classic diamond eternity in platinum at 1.5mm wide for under $1200. I don't know if I'd go thinner than that.

hi turbo :)

gorgeous engagement ring! very delicate, tho, and i can see how a wedder too wide by even the slightest is going to look like it doesn't match - and i don't mean 'matchy match' - i mean more like 'has nothing in common with / should be with a different engagement ring' kind of match!

i agree with the posters who have said that 1.2 is a veeeeeerrry narrow band and am thinking 1.5mm might be your final resting place. if it was me, i'd probably duplicate the style of band used in the shank for a wedding ring, which seems to be micro pave, but with a rail edging. not sure whether it's been milgrained or not. if it has, i'd duplicate that in your wedding band.

so long as it's done delicately enough, it should be very beautiful :)

congratulations on your engagement!

Here is another thread that will help, she has the original Beaudry on which your ring is based and has pics on all the pages with a few different styles.

Thanks everyone!

The 1.2 mm width of the Leon Mege initially scared me but the attractiveness of price drew me in - I just needed some kind people to help talk me out of it

I've contacted both SingleStone and ID Jewelry - hopefully I will be able to figure something out. If not, I may end up looking more into the Facets 1.5mm band and calling it a day..haha

Again, thank you all so much for your help - this forum makes these decisions so much easier!!

**Edit**

I also wanted to add that I did contact Pearlman's about Beverly K but unfortunately, they said 2.5 mm would be the thinnest they would do.
