I agree with Izzy that dresses don''t really have a season, especially the one you have picked.

I think the dress that you ordered is really lovely, wait until it comes in, try it on and then see how you feel

Ditto.

For what it''s worth, I also had big time dress regret. I think it''s quite common. You will very likely forget all of that when you try it on again

In the end, please try to remember: it''s just a dress. Yes, it''s your wedding dress, with all the pressure and importance that that entails... but it''s still just a dress. It''s okay to let it be less than the 100%-perfect-in-every-way-dream-dress.
House Cat,

I can totally sympathize with you. I have MAJOR buyers remorse with my dress. I too couldn''t help but look at some other dresses, or even see some one here that make you go , "ooohhhh."

As other ladies recommended to me, I went to try on the dress again. And no, they won''t think you are crazy, they will think you are perfectly normal, since it happens to so many of us! Just go try on the dress. Once you get it back on and feel that love you felt for it like before, all your doubt should melt away

.

Good luck and let us know how it goes

The dress your ordered is seriously gorgeous!!! I think if you chose it, it''s probably the right one for you and now you''re just letting yourself be distracted.

I don''t have any brilliant advice, but I wanted to say that I looove the dress you ordered! I like it much more than the second dress.

But you need to get what makes you super happy, and I hope it all works out!

To echo many of the others, I think what you are feeling is completely normal. How can so many of us not have that post-buying panic with so many gorgeous dresses out there?
For what it''s worth, I think your dress is beautiful and would work really well for a spring outdoor wedding. I''m having an outdoor garden ceremony and have both a small train and high heels... I say, as a bride do what makes you feel best. When is your dress supposed to come in? (Sorry if you mentioned that and I missed it)

My dress comes in the last week of June or the First week of July. REALLY early for my wedding date of April 30th, 2010!!!

Unfortunately the hem of the dress can''t be altered, according to the bridal shop. If you look at the detail of the lace, there just isn''t anywhere for it to be hemmed. This is why I had to order it hollow to hem.

I''m going to try to go in tomorrow to see it.

Your dress is gorgoeus and looks perfectly appropriate for spring! I''m pretty sure most brides today go through this because there are SO MANY options. Just remember how you felt when you had it on. I can''t imagine it not being amazing!

Btw I''m doing everything I can to not see or try on my dress for a long time, because I don''t want to start second-guessing myself. I knew from the moment I stepped into it-- not even having seen it in a mirror yet--- that it was MY dress. Then I looked in a mirror and didn''t want to take it off. I''m guessing this is what a lot of brides experience, but that feeling gets harder and harder to remember as you flip through tons of magazines full of beautiful dress eye cnady!

Hi HouseCat! First, I agree with other posters that the dress you selected is much more "Spring" to me than the other you are looking at. And, I also don''t think the bridal salon thinks you are odd--you bought a very expensive gown from them. I think they are grateful.

As for the dress, yes, the hem probably cannot be altered. However, a skilled seamstress could easily take the dress up from the waist. It would be an expensive alteration, but still way cheaper than buying another dress.

Also, have you thought about getting solemates? A lot of brides here get them, including me, and they do add stability making it easier to walk on uneven surfaces. If you haven''t bought your shoes yet, you could always select wider heels, too.

Just my observation, but it sounds to me that you don''t dislike your dress, just some details about it. Focus on solving those issues instead of changing the dress!

First of all, I have to say that I LOVE the first dress! I always associate lace with Spring, so I think it definitely works.

As to you having doubts, I agree with the other girls. Try on the sample again, see if you still love it, then go from there.

Good luck!
