So, Love in Bloom saying her awesome wedding shoes (OK, I'm biased since I have the same ones) pinched her tender bridal tootsies and gave her a blister on her wedding day.

Here's a prophylactic tip: Dr. Scholl's makes this stuff in a squich-up tube (uh, y'know, like deoderant? what do you call that kind of tube?). Anyway, you smear it on your foot in the sensitive spots and I guess it's supposed to create a sillicone seal to protect your feet from rubbing and hence, prevent blisters.

I'm going to be trying it out in Peru. I'll report back. But it could be a good addition to the wedding day toolkit for those with new, possibly pinching, strappies who want to dance all night. It is apprently invisible too.

Ohhhhhh. That is GREAT to know! Please report back and let us know how it works.

That is genius....

They sell it at sporting goods stores too, it''s been sold for triathletes for years to prevent chafing. Works wonders!!!

Ooooh, I have a tube of the stuff! I don't know if mine is from Dr. Scholls, but I swear by it. It's no-mess and does the job better than any bandaid.

ETA: I found mine at Meijer (the midwest version of Super Walmart). It was in the drugstore department with all the shoe inserts, knee braces, etc.

Bodyglide is in stick form and sold at running stores. It was in use full force at my wedding! We used it on our feet, on our thighs to prevent chafing, and I SHOULD have used it under my girdle, but alas... It''s definitely worth every penny!

Body Glide and Chamois But''r are fantastic! Ever since I was little, little I have had to use body glide (or some form) because the dance costumes and shoes would blister my skin - especially under my arm where embellishment would rub against my skin..

I didn''t know such a thing existed. I''ll definitely have to check that out. Chafing, no matter where, is never a good thing. We wouldn''t want that now, would we?

I didn''t know this stuff exsisted! Great tip! I should try it for half marathons as well. I get pretty bad blisters when I run so does FI. I know I will be needing this stuff on the wedding day!

Thanks for the recommendation!

Excellent tip IndepGal! Gotta love Doc Scholls

IndyGal, can you tell us the exact name of the product when you get back from Peru all perfect-footed?

Oops! I goofed. It''s not Dr. Scholl, it''s Band Aid that makes it. Here it is from their website.
