Wanted to add that the Cartier experience was much better second time around. The SA was lovely. The one that helped me before was there watching the whole time. Whatever.
Thank you Rosebloom. It was a very exciting day. Even though many suggested a diamond band I realized I just wanted something rich and luxurious but not have to worry about stones. That's why I love my plain bands so much. Plus I am super hard on my hands so this seemed perfect.
For those of you with the trinity did you size up or down? My right hand ring finger is a little smaller than a 6.5 for comfort. So I got the 53 but it seems a little big and the 52 I worried about being too small. Had the hardest time deciding so I went bigger. Can't figure out if that was the right decision. My hands swell a ton in heat but shrink like crazy in cold. I guess I could just put a band on top of it during the winter. Thoughts? I have 30 days to exchange but can't have scratches so I want to decide soon. I am wearing it!!! Should I have gone with smaller?
Thank you SB and Alex! The rose gold bug bit hard for sure. A diamond eternity could still be in my future but probably a far away future!
Laila and Motownmama. I actually think I like them all stacked and that could solve the sizing problem when my fingers shrink with the cold. Motownmama I take that as a huge compliment since it is coming from the queen of stacks!
Beautiful! My hands do the same thing in the heat/cold, but I've always sized bigger in those instances. I then stack up in the cold and that usually fixes. Maybe you could add sizing beads to just one of the bands if that becomes a real issue and you want to continue to wear it alone? I'm bad and will just add the little plastic sizer things from a discount store on pieces I don't wear often but want to actually FIT that day, but they don't bother me and aren't noticeable to others. I know for some that's just not an option. If you know you swell a lot in the heat, I wouldn't go back down in size if it was already slightly snug.
Thanks JuneBug and Derbygirl! I love them both and have been wanting a Trinity for a while. The perlee looks small but actually feels substantial on for such a petite ring. I tried the next size up which was also beautiful stacked but can't have it all...lol
Enerchi I think you might have been in the back of my head chanting "get the rose gold, get the rose gold, get the rose gold..."
SteelMagnolia I am going to use that stack to resolve my too big problem during the cold shrink days. Its crazy how much a finger can swell and shrink isnt it. I actually love rings but if they bug I won't wear them so I am glad I got the bigger size. Actually today is warmer and when I put it on this am it fit perfectly! I know during the hot hot days I will be even more thankful I have the bigger size. Cold days I will bring on the stack.
Thanks Sharon! I was actually commenting how that area can be an intimidating place to shop. Yesterday though was perfect and so much fun. Dh really made it special for me and I so appreciated it!!!
Thank you Aprilbaby and Yennyfire! It was quite the birthday
Hi Pandabee! Thank you... I was so delighted to see that it works with my bands so well both in width and height. Well the Cartier SA did call it the XS then maybe even called it the "baby trinity"... Regardless it is the one that has the 2.9mm bands. I thought it was the perfect one for me. I tried on the Classic and it was a bit big/wide on me, made my fingers push farther apart more than I liked. The teeny tiny one kind of blended in on me. I found the 2.9s to be Ahhhh just right!
Thank you! Yes they are 2mm comfort fit 14k rose gold from e-weddingbands. The perlee is 18k but honestly they look the same to me. Maybe the perlee looks slightly brighter but that could also be because of the shape of the pearls.
I really love the Perlee band between your other bands! And the Trinity is the perfect size for sure! I would rather have them a little loose than a little tight. I would never want to size them. Of course, you can ask Cartier how much that would be if you did.
Thanks DS.. Its crazy how many compliments I am getting on the Perlee band. It seems so little but it kind of sparkles or shines that I think people take a double look and get curious. I think the sizing of the Trinity would be VERY EXPENSIVE. The SA said it as a last resort. She said that it would be better if I wore it around the house at different times and just made a decision between this size and the smaller. When I woke up this morning my hands were a little swollen and I put it on it was perfect so it made me think perfect size. Right now its cool and I am not doing much so it is loose but comfy I am good with it. It is a big purchase so I think I just overly worried and second guessed myself. I really hate tight rings and would regret not being able to wear it in the summer or while traveling because of a tight fit.
Thanks Luv2Sparkle!
Dani the Perlee came from the VCA store on Rodeo BH. btw The SA said that they are releasing the entire Perlee collection in yellow gold coming this fall. I think September. As of now only available in rose and white.
Thank you DandiAndi! I know you were one that was the fan of the eternity idea but liked the perlee idea too I just went for it. As soon as I put it on it felt right. I know the trinity is boring for some of you. Seems like everyone has one. But I adore it too
Thanks Patty!
I might try and get some pics with my ering today. I haven't really been wearing it but will today to have an excuse to post more pics of my new rings..If ps approves lol
