(envy dissecting scope... long story, but we do not have one for merely once in a blue moon use, so I'd use a microscope stage - dance on a postage stamp ,( )

@av In my work I am on that scope a few hours a day, minimum. It is my baby and I love my micro setup. One of my research partners has a confocal scope and I am dying to play with it.

They are beautiful on the ear - can still see lobe all the way around the earring so I think they are perfect!!

I have mostly done EM & crystallography, so any bit of tissue is - Intimidating. Others in the group do confocal (it is spectacular!). I may try DIC for unstained tissue with intercellular mineralization - natural pearl nucleation sites.

Oh I would love to see that. I do clinical work and I haven't come up with a clinical reason to get a scope...yet.
