I'm getting my dad movie tickets and some martinelli's and snacks for a nice date out with my mom

Well ok, maybe it's not super nice, but they'll like it!

My dad owns a Harley. He loves everything Harley Davidson. As I move around the world I buy him all kinds of Harley Davidson shirts and/or trinkets with the names of the places i''ve been. He seems to like those since he wears them all the time. So this year it is a Harley Davidson, somewhere Kansas shirt.

My dad is hard to buy for. He has no real hobbies, doesn''t even really use tools. None of the usual "guy" gifts work. I hate to buy him yet another shirt, but unless I get inspired that will probably be it....

For my husband I got him a "make your own soda/seltzer" machine from SodaClub USA. He really likes seltzer and needs to drink more water so this might help. It looks cool. I ordered it almost 2 weeks ago and still don''t have it yet though...company swears it will be here today...I''m hoping....

I can never go wrong with a Home Depot gift card for my daddy. That''s his favorite place in the world. He''ll ask my mother on a diiner date, and it will turn out to be crusing HD with a stop at the hot dog stand out front.

My bro, FI and I may go in on an order for a keg of Killian''s for my daddy''s keg-erator in the basement.

That''s his beer of choice and he loves having the stuff on tap in house. Loves it so much he has named TWO of our dogs Killian so far! LOL

Funny story - when my daddy bought that keg-erator at Sam''s, he was wheeling it out with a few big bags of pretzels on top, grinning like a hyena. The guy next to him was coming out with a cart FULL of toilet paper, enough to wipe the Red army. He says, "Trade ya?" and my daddy told him, "Hell, no!"

My dad never asks for or wants anything, he''s the most difficult person on my Christmas/B-day/Father''s Day list...so this year my sister, her hubby and baby as well as my fiance and I took both my parents out to a combined Mother''s Day/Father''s Day breakfast at The Griddle in Los Angeles. My sister lives in the bay area, I''m in SD and my parents are in LA County so it isn''t often that we all get to be together. I sent him a card to open on the day of. So it isn''t anything spectacular gift-wise but it was nice for us to be together as a family.

My Mom suggested that all of us three kids go in together and get this red electic smoker that my Daddy has been eyeing at Lowe''s. So I went to buy it yesterday and boy was it heavy! Had to request someone help me load it into my car. He''ll love it, and he''s a great cook so it will be a new toy for him to entertain us with!

I also recently took a very nice pic with him that I just printed from my digital camera, so I''m wanting to get a cute frame to put that in and give to him as well. I am such a Daddy''s girl!
